My client survived breast cancer, and this piece represents her experience. In honor of #breast #cancer #awareness, she aimed to illuminate the reality that breast cancer affects women of all ages, aesthetics, and backgrounds. Marie is a technician in a hospital and regularly cares for women coping with breast cancer. The diversity she sees is so striking that it seems to clash with the outsider's assumption about who breast cancer usually chooses. She also hopes to educate women about the many options offered to women seeking treatment, and to encourage them to ask more questions about the serious side effects of certain treatments that doctors infrequently mention. #illustration #illustrator @yogaboobs
