Mariposa Thursday Acoustic Open mic

every Thursday, 52 weeks a year, from 7 PM to 10pm

In the interest of fairness, all musicians wishing to partake in Mariposa Thursday open mic will have their names, drawn from a hat at 6:50pm (18:50h) and be able to choose their 10 minute time slot, between 7pm and 10:10pm.

All participants must be present for the draw at 6:50pm. Anyone arriving after the draw, may sign-up until the board is complete. Their is a maximum of 20 spots.

Sorry, no pre-registration!

There is is also our warm-up period where musicians play one tune, totally acoustic, before the open Mic begins at 7pm.

Open to all levels & ages.

Plug & Play...mics, stands, sound system, acoustic and electric amplifiers, and house bass & bass amplifier supplied.

Available In-house piano & electric piano.

(Acoustic House Guitar for those Travellers!)

Sorry, no drums , though the house has a cajon for percussion.

Each performer gets 2 songs, or 10 minutes, whatever comes first. We accept all styles of performance.

Please, no pre-recorded material through computer, iPhone, mp3.

We are a LIVE performance café.

Once all participants have played their 2 songs, we start over again from the top of the list.

As we are a restaurant, a

*$8 minimum food purchase required please.

We have a full kitchen providing a bistro menu of salads, burgers, pastas & vegetarian/ vegan options as well as home-made desserts & espresso coffees.
