what would you say is the default mechanic(s) that red bends towards in an "enchantments matter" environment?

Can I ask about the "same character" element of Vorthos? This feels a bit fuzzy in a couple of cases, like Kid Loki for example (he's very definitely <not> the same character as the original Loki, there's even a whole arc where him rejecting his prior identity is the premise). Could you be more specific about what that entails?

If you as a Vorthos can defend it (well) to your play group, you can do it.

is the term "universes within" used internally to refer to in-multiverse sets in general or does that strictly refer to the in-universe reprints of the street fighter secret lair cards and the like?

No, the R&D slang is “MIP sets” where MIP stands for “Magic Intellectual Property”.

To a recent you replied that Vorthos works across IPs on Loki because it's all the same character. Would that also apply to Sauron from LoTR and Marvel, or does that not work because they are different characters despite the same name?

Vorthos cares about it being the same character not just having the same name.

I've gone from barely interested to very excited about Marvel Jumpstart! So many new Spider-Man cards! Peter Parker may not be a blue/red personality but those colors look so good on a card in the classic suit! Also hyped for red Miles; finally a version for Gwen's 99 :D
