The Atacama Desert in Chile is known as one of the driest and most barren places on Earth. Although the desert is usually dead land, this year El Nino’s staggering rainfall caused the bursting blooming of the seeds, which have been hibernating.

Whose hands?

Questions to Address the Root Causes for the Refugee Crisis

The earth shook and moved as the refugees squatted around the docks. And to what fate? No sleep around the clock in the hopes for freedom in another space. Racing towards the imagined lands, a different sand. What could be traced here and there? To face the tides unknown, to brave the storm. Nature was enough to transform them, but twice now the hum of the damned had captured souls with no reassurance to free. What did these men want from those refugees? If sex, and sex be hunger, or crime precedes these times, then what comes after? Whose hands extend to reach the farther ends and claim these hearts that thundered? Where would nations be if we didn’t adamantly call to act and push to tract that house the flame that raged to call to Life? Let Life be known by setting a truer tone that in those who were resilient enough to go marching against the storm is here to live the Life in courage to build and transform.
