Summary: Cassie comes home with a cat after; reader talked about wanting one for months. (just fluff)

Cassie had the orange tabby cat tucked into her arm while, the other held a bagel bag and her keys as, she approached your apartment. The redhead fumbled with her keys in keyhole as she attempted to open the door, she grumbled lowly in her throat. Footsteps were heard approaching the door revealing you as, you stood and watched Cassie with a small smile on her face.

Cassie's blue eyes met you with a soft comforting relief as she stepped into your shared apartment. "Surprise baby!". she let out excitedly as she placed the bagel bag on the table and took a step towards you. You looked up at her with glazed eyes and a huge smile as you leaped forward capturing her lips in a soft kiss. Both Cassie and you melted into the kiss as you pulled back with yet another grin on your face. "Oh Cass, baby you didn't have to", your eyes began to form tears as you looked at her lovingly, letting the emotions wrap around you. You were so incredible grateful to have such a loving, sweet, caring girlfriend who listened to you go on and on about how much you wanted a cat. "Baby I wanted to plus, I know how much you really wanted one " she said reassuringly handing you the cat. You cradled the orange tabby in your arms as you held it close, signaling Cassie over.

You wrapped your arms around Cassie enveloping both her and the cat in your embrace. It's all you've ever wanted, just you and Cassie here in your small cozy apartment. She placed a kiss on your forehead as you cooed at the feline admiring the way, you looked at the cat and at her. She'd do anything to see that smile for the rest of her life, to see the light in your beautiful eyes.

you and cassie didn’t argue often, which was probably why it hurt so much when you finally did. it started over something stupid, something neither of you would even remember in a week, but one frustrated comment turned into another until cassie was speaking before she could think and you were standing across the room with tears already gathering in your eyes.

the second cassie saw your face fall, she regretted every word. “baby, wait—” but you were already wiping at your cheeks, quietly telling her you needed a minute before disappearing into the bedroom. cassie stood there feeling like the biggest asshole alive, replaying what she’d said and realizing how unnecessarily harsh she’d been.

she gave you a few minutes before knocking softly on the door, her voice much gentler this time. “can i come in?” when you didn’t answer, she opened the door anyway, finding you curled up on the bed with your back turned toward her. cassie climbed in slowly, leaving enough space for you to move away if you wanted, and when you didn’t, she carefully wrapped her arms around your waist.

“i’m sorry,” she whispered against your shoulder, pressing a tiny kiss there. “i shouldn’t have spoken to you like that. you didn’t deserve it.” you sniffled and finally turned around, and cassie immediately pulled you against her chest, rubbing your back while you cried quietly into her shirt.

“i hate that i made you cry,” she murmured, kissing your forehead again and again. “i love you too much to ever want to be the reason you’re hurting.” and for the rest of the night, cassie refused to let you doubt how sorry she was, keeping you tucked against her chest until your tears finally stopped and you were both quiet again.

Cassie x F! teacher reader (reader is in late 20's )

A/N: before we dive into it, this is the first fic I've written in years sooo it might not be perfect. (just fluff) btw this not proofread whatsoever so excuse my grammar and punctuation.

It all started on Monday morning, when Harrison jumped onto Cassie's bed jolting her awake instantly. The redhead's eyes fluttered for a few seconds before her eyes landed on her son who was, dressed head to toe looking up at her with a softened expression. She sat upright looking at him with a look of confusion etched across her features. "Harrison, buddy? w-what's up? " The woman reached for her phone on the nightstand before the boy could even get a word in, she let out a shriek. Her eyes quickly scanned the time on her phone before, setting it back down on the nightstand and pulling off the covers scrambling to get up. Harrison just nodded up at his mother before retreating back into the hallway but not before saying " Ms. L/N will understand mom ".

It hadn't been the first time where Cassie had woken up late it happened every now and then, her job was just so demanding, and it took a lot on her especially on the days she had Harrison and had to take him to school. She had slipped her flip flops on and grabbed her phone, ultimately shoving it into the pocket of her boy shorts. She had no time to get dressed she had to take her son to school as it was her main focus. She sauntered into the living room clad in boy shorts and an oversized faded punk rock shirt. Harrison placed his bowl in the sink before reaching for his backpack, Cassie's left hand grabbed the keys out of the fishbowl, both of them headed out the front door without a second thought. The drive to school was Harrison reassuring his mom that it was okay while Cassie gripped the steering wheel trying to get him there safely.

Cassie pulled into the school parking lot her car coming to a halt as she placed it in park, she scurried off the car with her son as they approached the school steps. Realistically she had only been late by five minutes, the teacher stood idly by as a few more students rolled into the classroom. She walked Harrison to his class biding her son goodbye with a hug " have a good day kiddo" she said with a smile on her face before turning to the teacher and profusely apologizing. Cassie stumbled over words as she looked at her son's teacher, she was in a flowy summer skirt, a white t-shirt along with a matching cardigan. I'm r-really sorry Ms. L/N, I overslept and my alarm didn't go off and-" the redhead rambled off intermediately the teacher cut her off. The woman let out a chuckle before briefly speaking " It's okay Ms. Mckay, I completely understand " she offered a light squeeze to Cassie's shoulders. Cassie's cheeks turned a beet red at the reassurance and light squeeze to her shoulders from the younger woman's soft hands, oh they were so soft and gentle she thought. The redhead cleared her throat at have been thinking about her son's teacher and how pretty she was.

Cassie awkwardly ran her hand through her hair as she apologized once more " have a good day pretty " she mentally slapped herself as she turned on her heel. "Fuck, what an Idiot?! pretty?! " She muttered to herself. The younger woman blushed a crimson red, there was no denying the older woman was attractive she'd often checked Cassie out with no shame. " You too Ms. Mckay " the younger woman called after her as she headed back into class ready to start the day. Cassie drove home thinking about the innocent interaction but at the embarrassment she felt at, making herself a fool in front of Harrison's teacher.
