Something fun I did last year for a project Masters of Evil (@mastersofevil.bsky.social) are cooking up. Was a little experiment to see how I’d do with digital painting (and body horror) and can say for sure it’s something I want to do more of. Any excuse to do more grim/evil nuns, anyway

Some say she’s a wolf-girl, others a malevolent witch. Either way, she avoids being seen.

One girl from the village knew the wolf-girl lived in the abandoned little house on her uncle’s land, but she didn’t tell anyone. She’s seen her a couple of times all curled up by the door, taking in the morning sun, her eyes closed.

The girl got a little too close one day, however. And while she was admiring the wolf-girl’s jewlery, she didn’t notice her eyes had opened.

The girl did not come home ever again.

The paths are changing, the trees are moving, the sky is still bright blue but who knows if you’ll find your way out of the forest before nightfall. And worst of all, you know there is something following you.

Last year I made my boyfriend a little notebook for his Pool of Radiance rpg game and drew these 2 fellas fighting on the cover. I started colouring the book with colour pencils but thought maybe I’d try scan it first and see what I can do digitally, and here it is.

Anyway, I always thought it’s so cool he plays these older games, he’s a bit of a games archeologist in a way, and it’s interesting how they were so good in their simplicity. Definitely had loads of comfy evenings drawing at my desk and looking over to him playing this and telling me about the new enemies and places he was finding 🖤⚔️

Cosmic Goat, graphite on paper with digital retouches&colours. Took so long with this one, working on it occasionally whenever I had free time over 2 years. Time well spent relaxing my brain with some good psych doom & dungeon synth music. Cant wait to get stuck in with another drawing like this again

Finally offered myself a couple of hours to do some Hunter: The Parenting fan art 🖤 Been watching this YouTube series for like, 3 years now? And by that I mean constantly re-watching all the episodes pretty much everyweek because I love it that much and it’s my best comfort media curently. And of course I drew Big D first 💪⚔️

I've also been feeling a bit lost with my own personal art/style lately so thought doing some fan art would be a nice way to I dunno, find myself again?

Anyway, can’t wait for the next audiologue AND Chapter 6!

Another re-scan&touched up pencil drawing I did around 2019 based on the constant anxiety&panic attacks I was getting at the time that were so intense they were regularly kicking me out of reality.

Did a re-scan&editing of this pencil drawing I made back in 2019 after getting my brains blown away by seeing Tool live the first time. The drawing took me a few months to finish but I still remember loving working on it so much during my evenings at the start of my animation career, listening to music for hours 🖤

I finally finished my little Messmer animation, only took me 6 months of on/off, trial/error and actual animating/clean uping work. It’s was a lot of work, but it’s cool to have an idea of something you’d like to do and then actually do it. You’l realise your ideas might not be as easy to create as you thought, and it sets your expectations for future endeavours a bit better.

I had in mind of do an Ansbach next, and even though he doesn’t have a second phase or anything of the sort, given how long Messmer took me to do, I think I will just not do it. Malenia would be awesome too, and I had a plan to do Miquella and Consort Radhan but there just isn’t enough hours in the day, of even years in my life, to make animations like these when I have a full time job and life stuff to do. 

This was all done on Procreate, and I originally had absolutely no idea how I would animate the transition from 1st phase to second, how I was going to make the helmet dissipate and the snake appear, but got there in the end, and was good to use my own brains to do the problem solving instead of some lame AI nonsense program. 

Anyway, today’s been a year since Shadow of the Erdtree released, thanks for reading and bye-bye
