Jean laughed, wondering which telepath had the courage to do that. Probably Quentin. It would fit his m.o. She never stopped for a second to consider that it might have been her older self, still unused to the idea. “And I thought living with Bobby was bad. You can only wake up so many times to ice water being poured over you before you get sick of it. Maybe I’ll use that trick on him.”

“I don’t know if that would be a punishment for him or all of us. Probably both. Though knowing Bobby he’d turn it into more horrifying for the rest of us.” It was easy to embarrass a teenage boy, but Bobby was far from normal. She would have to do something truly mean-spirited to embarrass him and the red head wasn’t willing to do that (most of the time). “But it’s good to know he hasn’t lost his spirit after all we’re going to go through.”

Her expression was set into one of determination, her disapproval clearly broadcasting. “Fine. You want to get your butt kicked? I’ll deliver.”

“Oh, no. No, I want to distract you until my forces have taken what I came here for. Do be a dear and put up a good fight.”
