My name is Ali, and I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart and a plea for help. My family and I have recently endured unimaginable hardships in Gaza. We lost everything we owned in the devastating conflict, and our lives have been turned upside down. This is our story.
My beautiful daughter, Salma, was born just a few months ago, in the midst of chaos and destruction. Her first cries were drowned out by the sounds of bombs falling around us, her first breaths filled with the smoke of war. Salma’s early days were spent in a small, crowded shelter, where the walls shook with every explosion and the air was thick with fear and uncertainty.
Our home, which we had worked so hard to build, was reduced to rubble. The place where Salma should have taken her first steps, played with her toys, and created her first memories is now just a pile of stones and dust. My wife and I lost our livelihoods, and with them, the means to provide for our family. Everything we had worked for was gone in an instant.
Salma’s world has been one of darkness and noise. The sounds of bombs and gunfire have replaced the lullabies and peaceful nights that every baby deserves. The light of hope in her eyes is dimmed by the shadows of the trauma she has experienced. As a father, it breaks my heart to see her suffer, to know that her early memories are filled with fear instead of love and safety.
We are in desperate need of funds to rebuild our lives, to create a safe and loving environment for Salma, and to provide her with the chance to grow up without the constant fear of violence. We need your help to give her a future filled with hope and possibility.
