Controlled deconstruction of a solid structure, using graphite lines to contain the activity. “Pinch a dollar til the eagle screams” , graphite and ink on harvested packing paper 8 1/2x11 “

Drawing on top of grounds almost feels like cheating theres so much to work with. unfortunately i neglected to tape down for some acrylic washes and the paper wrinkled, for a painting i wouldnt mind but for a drawing it worked against any detailed top layer

Sections alone are more solid than the piece as a whole

30 minute drawing, glued paper strips to edit the drawing instead of painting over. Acrylic, gouache, graphite, ink and paper on paper

30 minute drawing leaning heavily on gesso charcoal and aggressively sharpened pencil judging by the shavings. There is a time limit. Also with gouache and ink on 9x12” paper

30 minute drawing exercise, broke away from floating faces to make something more concrete. Acrylic, gouache, graphite and ink on paper around 9x12”. Easily could be faces in there

Thirty minute drawing exercise, a good portion was spent with washes which dont translate so well to a thirty minute window. Or at least not what i was looking for, faces and hair trails
