☕ EARLY MIDNIGHT BREW ART STYLE REVEAL ☕

After a lot of experimenting, redesigns, and way too many sketches, I think I’ve finally settled on the visual direction for Midnight Brew.

For those who don’t know, Midnight Brew is a spin-off set in the same universe as The Crying Child, but with a much lighter and more comedic tone.

One of the biggest changes was Jack’s design.

I wanted him to still be recognizable as Jack while making it immediately obvious that this isn’t the same version of him from the main series. The darker black horns were replaced with purple ones, the overall palette was softened, and the design was pushed more toward a cozy horror-comedy aesthetic.

The goal was to create a version of Jack that still feels like himself, but fits a world where he runs a late-night café, falls asleep behind the counter, and threatens customers through passive-aggressive signs instead of hunting them through the woods.

Some of my favorite little details are:

☕ The kidney tip jar

☕ The “Definitely Not Kidneys” container

☕ The Mystery Meat Pie on the menu

☕ The mask hanging behind the counter

☕ And of course, Jack sleeping through his own shift

I’m really happy with how this one turned out and I think it captures the overall vibe I want Midnight Brew to have going forward.

Here’s an early look at one of the first pieces of concept art for Midnight Brew!

The goal was to capture the overall feeling of the café and introduce one of the staff members: Eyeless Jack.

A lot of the small signs and background details are still being developed, but I wanted the café to feel equal parts cozy, chaotic, and slightly concerning.

This is still very much a work in progress, but I thought it would be fun to share some behind-the-scenes artwork and get everyone’s thoughts before moving forward with the final version.

What happens when some of the internet’s most infamous killers are forced to work together to keep a café running?

Welcome to Midnight Brew, a non-canon comedic spin-off of The Crying Child Series inspired by the classic Creepypasta Café comics.

Set in a mysterious café in the middle of nowhere, familiar faces from the Creepypasta universe take on the roles of baristas, cooks, and servers as they attempt to keep the business afloat. Between clashing personalities, supernatural abilities, and complete incompetence in the kitchen, every shift is guaranteed to descend into chaos.

Each episode is a self-contained story focusing on a different character and their unique antics, culminating in the creation of a bizarre new menu item that becomes part of the café’s ever-growing collection of signature dishes and drinks.

Hey @mangoshibi I’m a huge fan of you’re work particularly with you’re lovable goofball Garry and I was wondering because there were speech bubbles with Garry it means he speaks and because in my series he shows up I was wondering what type of voice would you give him and could you give me a type of character that has that sort of voice
