Panting and her heart beating a mile a minute, Nadya walked slowly towards her home. Morning runs weren’t her thing. Okay, let’s get real here; mornings weren’t her thing, period. She never understood people who came out with sunshine smiles, waving at everyone they passed. To be perfectly honest, people like that irked her. What were they so happy about? As she strolled, the beating of her heart slowed—along with it, her chipper mood returned. A tune was being hummed when she passed her neighbor. Mason had just gotten home from his shift and was off the next 48 hours so he decided to do his usual workouts outside. Em was at work and honestly he was just trying to stay up until she got home so they could kind of be on the same schedule while he was home so he figure maybe just maybe this would work. Mason waved to the neighbor and smiled. “Just got off of work and hoping to stay up till tonight. Mason Brady Davis was born in the United Kingdom and he was raised there till he was 14.
When he turned 14 his dad had got a job in the states that forced them to move to a whole new environment and it was such a change for the young boy who went to school wearing a uniform to now wearing pretty much whatever he wanted.
He met a pretty close knit of friends when he got to school and one being a blonde that he had started crushing on, but there wasn’t anything going to happen or so he thought because why would she want to be with him. He was the new kid and stuck out like a thumb with his accent.
Mason played every single sport they would let him there. He started playing soccer since he had already played it for so long, but now he was learning the states version of football. Mason fell in love with every single thing about it. He did watch it on TV and his dad loved the sport, but now that he was playing it he was loving every second of it and aspect of it.
His Sophomore year is when him and Em started dating and it was the best time of his life. He was the starting running back and played wide receiver as well and colleges were noticing him more and more. He wanted to get the whole college experience when it came to college and that was the goal. He had the prefect girl and now and was going to get into the prefect school.
Everything was going great, but his senior year is when he had to pick a school and Mason was drawn to the beaches of California. UCLA was a huge party school and had the prefect weather to play football year around as well as soccer and he did just that, but the only issue was having to leave his best friend/girlfriend. He didn’t want to do that, but he had too in order to get his education and his school payed for.
Him and Em kept in contact and feelings were never going away from her, but the distance was hard, but he did make a promise to her and he was hoping he could keep it.
College was great though. Mason was partying and playing sports as well as just going to the beach everyday. It was everything he had wanted when he was younger watching all these college movies.
His senior year was far from prefect though. The first play of the game Mason was in he had been hit right in the head and instead of coming out of the game he claimed he was fine and continued to play, but really has no clue what had really happened during that game.. well most games. After that hit he tend to blackout every time he got thrown hard enough into the ground.
NFL was out of the picture and speaking of the injury was something he never wanted to do. Instead he used his fire safety degree and went back home to be a firefighter and was ready to get his first love back.
Now Mason is learning to live with Em as well as being a firefighter and his injury that he is hoping no one finds out about.
