Verse 1. I was sent forth from power (Maybe referring to a messianic figure. Christ? maybe, it's debated)/ and I have come to those who reflect on me (Double entendre maybe? Not sure of how coptic might influence this, or greek. Could refer to either reflection as thought, or a literal reflection. Double meaning and contradiction appears to be a central theme in the hymn.)/ And I have been found among those who seek after me(REVISIT)
Verse 2. Look upon me, you who reflect upon me, (Presuming the more literal meaning of 'reflect' this might prompt one to examine themself?)/ and you hearers, hear me./ You who are waiting for me, take me to yourselves. (Prompting action, actively taking in '?' as opposed to passivity in learning or action.)
Verse 3. And do not banish me from your sight.(again, presuming the use of reflection in the literal sense, do not banish youself from your sight? meaning to make yourself subjet to your own scrutiny maybe?)
Verse 4. And do not make your voice hate me, nor your hearing.(Self-scrutinize but don't self hate?)/ Do not be ignorant of me anywhere or anytime. Be on your guard! (Frames our speaker as perhaps dangerous or something to fear?) Do not be Ignorant of me.
