just here to say that these last few days (especially in light of recent events) i’ve felt so disillusioned with hockey :( i still love the isles and certain players (at least those who haven’t proved to be shitty, right wing/conservative leaning) but it’s so hard to support and enjoy a sport that has such a toxic culture. not saying i’ll stop watching hockey bc i’ve always enjoyed watching the sport but im def not feeling proud of team usa or any of its players. im def rethinking how much i support and love players bc ultimately we don’t really know these people and i hate to condone or support people that stand for this horrible administration, no matter how much i love the sport.

#i know ppl always say ‘separate the art from the artist’ but in times like these that’s just not possible #that’s also why ive been so inactive lately..feels wrong to support when this sport keeps getting so toxic #clearly my thoughts and feelings are all over the place so forgive me if this doesn’t make sense #but i might just enjoy this sport without being so heavily invested like before. seems like that’s the best way to not get so disappointed #anyways go watch some figure skating they’re filled with whimsy and joy!#hockey #team usa
