Very much looking forward to again speaking at the Arsenals of History symposium this summer. I'll be discussing the older weaponry that has been used in the current Russia-Ukraine war. I had originally planned to give this presentation back in 2024. So much more has been unearthed since.

Really pleased to have assisted with Ian McCollum of Forgotten Weapons with his latest book, contributing some imagery from rare manuals from my reference collection! I also provided some captions and carried out a peer review of the book.
As with all Headstamp books, 'Battle Rifles of NATO' is beautifully laid out and features exquisite photos from James Rupley.
To help with projects like this is just one of the reasons I've spent years collecting and cataloguing small arms manuals and ephemera from around the world, dating from 1900 to the present.

This past weekend I had the pleasure of appearing at the We Have Ways Festival alongside my good friend and co-host Robbie McGuire. We had the privilege of having a live chat with our friend Sebastian Abineri. We met Seb several years ago when he joined us on our podcast Fighting On Film.
Seb has had a long and fascinating career as an actor but one of his favourite roles was as a member of the supporting cast on the classic war movie 'A Bridge Too Far'. We chatted live with Seb about what it was like to work on the film and he shared some fabulous stories!

Just back from the 2023 edition of the Arsenals of History Symposium which this year was hosted in Springfield, Massachusetts at the Springfield Armory National Historical Site.
It was wonderful to see colleagues, visit some interesting local museums and finally visit the Armory. It was also great to present my paper on the role of the Winchester Repeating Arms Company during the First World War and to lead a really interesting round table discussion about how we can share and engage with firearms history using social media.
