So my teacher wrote this on the board during class over a discussion of what’s the difference between “ni**ger and nigga" and why aren’t other races allowed to say it.She started by walking in the classroom saying “what’s up my niggas” and it angered majority of the black students. But not only that, she also kept saying both of the words even after some students told her MULTIPLE times not say it because we didn’t feel comfortable. Throughout the conversation she would point out that “oh i have lots of black friends” and that “45% of my friends are black” (As if that was any excuse). Most of the stuff she was saying, we would get defensive about and she would say “ I’m just playing devils advocate, dont get defensive” She also told us that she asked her black friend can she say the word and her friend told her No. obviously if your BLACK friend told you not to say it why would you have to come to us for a second opinion, thinking we would say something different? And also this is a CHEMISTRY class. And, besides learning chemistry, we’re talking about why you cant say the n-word. (Lastly this is a Lamar high school teacher and we were recently on the news for a student doing black face)
