it is so funny in the age of andrew tate where social media is legitimately unusable because of the sheer volume of men who have made it their actual hobby to harass and insult and demean women online. the other day i saw a video of a 13 year old softball pitcher, and the video was her just absolutely killing it, 10 strikeouts. and the comments section was entirely full of grown men mocking her for her weight and her appearance. i have literally seen videos where women are posting their outfits for their female audience and there are random men in the comments calling her ugly or mid or a slut or whatever. like actually everywhere. meanwhile women are obsessed with extolling the virtues of short men and pudgy men and even arguing for dating men you don’t even find attractive because they’re “funny.” men never ever do that for women and certainly not so much so that it’s trending. meanwhile school administrators are ringing the alarm about just how many boys are watching andrew tate and other male influencers and how it is making them treat their female peers even worse. women joke about getting an ick, but men have made so many womanhating podcasts even male comedians are making fun of it

the big issue with calling the situation in palestine right now “war” is that it fails to acknowledge the power differences between the two groups. in gaza, palestinians currently have been cut off from the world and are left with no water, no food, no electricity, no internet, no medical aid, and are being bombed left and right. israel is being babied and receiving funding from the us. so yea, this isn’t a war. it’s a massacre; genocide against palestinians.

Regardless of how much Israel tries to paint itself as the victim here, remember that THEY are the ones in power. They could stop this conflict at any time by ending the occupation of Palestinians. If they really cared about stopping civilian casualties, they would have done so by now. But they haven’t. Why? Because this isn’t about protecting civilians for them; this is about power. The Israeli government has made their goal of genocide and ethnic cleansing of Palestine clear for decades. They don’t care if their own citizens die in the process. As long as they can maintain power over Palestinians, they’ll continue to let the violence continue. Keep that in mind before you try to “both sides” this conflict. Zionism is a racist, hateful ideology and ultimately all it will end up doing is hurting Israelis as well as Palestinians. Ending the apartheid is the ONLY solution here. Nothing will ever change if people refuse to accept that.
