Puzzles has to have a weirder shrine or place dedicated to Wpnz than what we saw in the announcement video. It can't just be a small picture, Wpnz is his first and only real friend, he literally broke time for him. If he thinks he's dead, the picture frame and candles is only a small part of what he made to remember and focus on Wpnz.

We only saw Wpnz' one because seeing the real one Puzzles made would have been too much of a spoiler as to possibly what was going on too early. Also a little bit violent, because theres probably many many weapons as part of that shrine.

If you hate AI, enshittification and everything else going on in the tech world right now you should really watch HBO's Silicon Valley. It really goes out of its way to show how technology and capitalism intersect in insane, seemingly disconnected and perfectly logical yet morally repugnant ways no matter how good your intentions are. It would really help people understand the difference between software as a technology and software as a business. And it carries enough learning to give you the tools to discuss things beyond "AI bad cuz computer not natural rainforest tree".

Also it's funny as hell and full of shippable twinks. But that's just the cherry on top.

i mean, TECHNICALLY it was addressed, but it was very obviously low-effort and half-assed and.. well, they took AGES to get to that, but IMMEDIATELY spoke in regards to tadc releasing in theaters (congrats on that, btw!! :D) which is.. EXTREMELY suspicious tbh???

also, what most left out of the drama was, the creator of rgb got HARRASSMENT for this despite being the original. death threats and everything. this coincided with their fathers death, they almost took their own life..

so, since someones life was on the line because of this situation, i realllly dont think a vague and indirect address is the way to go about this tbh,,

they didnt even email modmad directly!! isnt that kiinda messed up?? modmad is THE only one who is negatively affected by this.. so it feels less like responsibility and more like "damage control" ..

we also do nottt have any ACTUAL PROOF that this was merely a coincidence sooo.. yeahh.. were only going off of word alone which is very very silly :/

hey so i literally know nothing about this situation, i'm not at all involved with the smg4 side of things-- (and i don't "work for glitch", i am a freelance contractor for glitch)

but if this person truly sent a legal letter, as someone from a family of lawyers, i can tell you that that basically ties the hands of everyone involved from just reaching out or making a statement willy-nilly

i'd give some grace to the people in this situation for not saying anything, and i'd take their silence or "complacence" as you put it with a grain of salt. they might not be at liberty to say or do anything without potential legal reprecussions (or at least the fear of them)

putting pressure on them to just make a random public response or to go around the legal pitfalls and contact this person directly might be seriously straining people who have to be quiet

again, i'm not involved, so i don't know for sure. but that's where my brain immediately goes as someone with a family that works in the legal system

like i said above, i suspect the reason glitch can publicly explain their reasoning for the theater release's timeline but smg4/glitch cannot talk about this is because this is a legal matter (if a legal letter was truly sent), which means anything they say online or in DMs to this person out of turn could be used against them in a litigious way

i know it's not 100% definitively the reason and i'm just guessing, but i think there's a very strong possibility i'm correct, so i don't think it's "odd" at all that they're addressing one and not the other

i also highly, highly recommend that you don't do what you did with me and post "evidence" of you sending asks like this in order to pressure people to respond. they legally might not be able to and that could be really, really stressful for someone who's not me and who's actually involved in the situation. they might never be able to "address" the situation the way you want them to. their hands might literally be tied and they're being put between a rock and a hard place here-- we as the general public literally have no idea what's going on behind the scenes

It has to be him being in the show and getting instantly merked. Like imagine this we’re getting this emotional scene of them falling into the worm while together, and then weapons just gets fried and turns to dust, and we never see or hear about him ever again.

Okay with all due respect can everyone kindly shut the fuck up about the whole RGB/Puzzles situation…or at least, not put it in the main tags? Could you guys use tags like “smg4 discourse” or “modmad situation” instead please? People are trying to enjoy the CAV announcement but they can’t because this situation is all they’re seeing on their timeline.

For anyone who wants my take: Yes, Glitch or Zaminations should address the unfair harassment and hate Modmad has received just because Puzzles and RGB look similar, they don’t deserve any of it and should be allowed to continue their comic in peace.

HOWEVER, there is not a chance in hell either Glitch or Zaminations intentionally “plagiarized” RGB’s design, it’s just a coincidence. I wasn’t going to say anything about this, but seeing Modmad push this blatantly false narrative that Puzzles is a rip-off of RGB is making me lose sympathy for them. Again, they do NOT deserve harassment or hate over something so trivial as similar character designs, but there is absolutely no way an indie animation studio happened to see some random artist’s OC design and stole it, every other artist with a TV head character would be making the same accusations if that were the case.

I have never even heard of The Property of Hate until this discourse started, and as far as I know it is a pretty obscure, decade old webcomic that I doubt has more than a couple dozen fans. I don’t know who Modmad thinks they are, but they are not special, they do not get to dictate who gets to use the generic traits of TV head OCs and who doesn’t. They ESPECIALLY do not get to dictate whether or not an animation studio should make changes to one of their characters- their intellectual property- just because the designs look a little too similar for their comfort. Puzzles CAV design has been finalized, there is nothing Modmad or anyone else can do about it, it would take way too much time and effort to change the design/model over something that…really shouldn’t matter to begin with.

TLDR: I think Puzzles and RGB should be allowed to exist in peace together WITHOUT one harassing the other or demanding either design be changed.

The ending was absolutely amazing it feels like such a good parallel to the endings of the meme factory arc and wotfi 2024. Mr puzzles does some horrible stuff and then blames the crew for stopping him like it’s their fault and wants revenge, but instead of being angry at wpnz toomp, or the crew it feels like he finally takes accountability and accepts that he needs to change.
