The best!!!
Don’t tell me I talk about my illness too much. Every movement. Every breath. Is a reminder that I’m not ok. That I may never succeed. That I can’t do things that normal people do. That everyday is a struggle. Never ever tell me I talk about it too much.
Before and after, I couldn't have asked for better results, and I definitely don't regret getting surgery! I was fused from T4 to L2 with two rods, 4 hooks, and 12 screws. My surgery was in my Doctors top 5 hardest surgeries because my spine either lacked or had very small pedicels. My surgery lasted 6 hours instead of 4. My doctors and nurses were amazing! The recovery was hard especially at first but I am so happy with how it turned out. We can do hard things and become stronger because of them! Thank you to every one how gave me advice!!!
scoliosis is so weird and dumb. how can something as simple as a spine go so wrong u literally just had to be a straight line
Before and after
This is a comparison between my first and most resent X-Ray. I can't believe how much it has changed in the last five years!! I will be getting surgery June 8th!!! Does anyone have any advice???? Thanks!!!!!
Scoliosis Problem #47
Having to decide if you love a sport or something you do enough to deal with the pain it causes.
I hide because there’s more to me than what you see and I’m not sure you’d like the rest. I know that sometimes, I don’t like the rest.

Scoliosis Facts Parents Should Know
1. Scoliosis is very common
According to a research was done by the Scoliosis Research Society, one in 40 Americans will have scoliosis. Scoliosis can be developed in the youth or adult ages. The common age to develop scoliosis is between 10 - 15
2. Treatment is not always necessary
Scoliosis treatment is not simply based off of if you have it or not. Scoliosis treatment is based on the curve of the spine
25 or less does not need treatment
26 to 45 degrees can be treated with a simple back brace
46 degrees and higher will typically require surgery
3. Braces are effective and have become more subtle over the years
a study from the New England Journal of Medicine has stated that 72% of Children that have used a back brace have a high treatment success rate. Today’s braces now have padding and can be hidden underneath clothes
4. Mild- curves do not cause long-term problems
mild curves less than 45 degrees will most likely stay that degree for the long term
5. When surgery is required, it is sooner better than later to be received
severe curves can progress rapidly as time goes on. Without anchors, rods, and screws to hold the spine in place, the curve will continue to grow and become  more severe.

Right: old Left: new ...Went to primary children's hospital the other day. My curve increase by five degrees in six months and I am now 5'2" and inch and a half shorter then I was. My doctor is now recommending surgery.
