Some more art of May and Xavier!
Here's some notes about their relationships with those in Pelican Town!
May: May makes quick friends with Linus, helping him with finding alternative meals, foods, and stuff for his tent. She doesn't judge his desire to live as he is. She actually finds it very freeing to help him, as he doesn't judge her either for her wild desire to try everything at least once in some matter. Though, she definitely makes sure to give him a small list of mushrooms not to eat and what they look like.
With Harvey and Maru, May is only cordial with them. She often judges Harvey's almost absurd charging rates, though she admits she understands why he does it, since he is the only doctor and he needs to keep the clinic running and stocked. Given she worked in the medical industry, she finds how he She doesn't dislike Maru but finds there is something about her that just rubs her the wrong way. Though, that may be more due to her father than Maru.
She does have a habit of foraging late at night and a few of the villagers definitely keep a cautious distance from her. She is pleasant but her behaviors is often viewed as slightly disarming and unnerving. She's the social one between her and Xavier, greeting villagers and bright.
Xavier: Xavier spends most of his time at home, working on electronics and making devices to ease life in Pelican Town.
He is very friendly with Sebastian, given the two of them share similar interests. However, Sebastian thinks he's way too reckless given how dangerous it is for him to climb up places to try and get better signals. Though he does respect the man given his focus on his goal and the two playing games together. Xavier is like an older brother or uncle type to him.
Xavier is decently close to Gunther, using the library to try and find more information on dwarfs and even helping his with cataloguing books and the artifacts with a digital system so it's easier to ensure things don't just go missing forever.
Xavier has an on and off friendship with Shane. He dislikes his habit of drinking immensely but does understand the circumstances that led to it. He also understands his habits of keeping people back but after an incident where Shane saw Xavier climbing a pole and watching him fall off, the two became acquaintances. Xavier himself doesn't drink but offers Shane an non-judgmental ear. He tries to be that person who offers a hand to him to help pull him from his addictions. Even if his hand is never taken, Xavier wouldn't want to leave him without at least trying.
