Pour painting has been my niche lately. This one is my favorite! I love pouring the paint on and waiting until the end to see what I end up with. Graph Comm I - Peggy’s Pizza Logo Designs

I guess I never did post this. Here are some of the logo designs that I decided to work on for Peggy’s pizza. This was a great opportunity to earn a actual award. The first prize was $250 and second place was $100 and $50 for a logo. I ended up not really doing so well. I ended up struggling a lot with motivation at this point in the semester and this point in the pregnancy, but I tried. And at the end of the day that’s all that matters.

New Media I - Wordpress Website

One of our last projects was to create a personal website in wordpress. I have to say I did not enjoy using wordpress as much as I thought I would. I expected it to be easier than it was. But after I realized that I could just pick a theme and go from there. It became easier.

New Media I - Looping Animation

For one of our final projects we needed to create a looping animation. I struggled with making a logo and getting it animated in AfterEffects so I found a cool idea to do in Photoshop but that wasn’t the assignment. So, I ended up back in AfterEffects and decided to create a very simple but effective animation with my name.

For our final project we were given five paper cars that we needed to come up with a design on. The themes were black and white, type based, climate, music festival and one open ended. This is my open ended one. I was just thinking about incorporating color onto it and keeping it simple. Alas, this primary color beauty is what I came up with.

New Media I - Coming to a Close

As the semester comes to a close, I find myself getting more and more tired. This is the hard part of the semester where we get a bunch of new projects tossed on us all at once by everyone. In this class, our final projects will be creating a Wordpress page and using AfterEffects to create an animation. Since I don’t have internet at home it has been rather difficult to continue working outside of class. So, I have been thinking about creating my animation in Photoshop but I know that will bite me in the butt later.

New Media I - After Effects/Wordpress

Today, is a work day. I don’t feel so bad about not finishing up my after effects project at home. Since, no one else has it done either. We’re supposed to work on creating a Wordpress website today and finishing up our after effects project with at least three different things going on.

I can’t say that I’m a fan of After Effects so far. I’m so used to Photoshop and Gimp to make gifs. But here’s to learning..

I also have to leave early to go to counseling. And Prof. Hyams had to leave as well to go to the meeting which caused me to have to reschedule my counseling. Y’all can’t see it but I’m waving my fist in the air.

New Media I - Uploading Resumes

Today, we uploaded both resumes to our website. A lot of people missed the last class. So, I get to work on work for other classes while waiting on the other students to get caught up. We will also open and use AfterEffects today.

New Media I - Graphic Design Resume

Today, we’re uploading our resumes to our websites. We had to take a screenshot of the resume. Resize it in photoshop for the thumbnail. Make sure we had it saved as a pdf. Then, open and put things where they’re supposed to go in Dreamweaver. Test, test, test. Then, upload the new bio.html page in 000webhost and you’re all set!

Graph Comm I - Movie

We watched a movie and then went over most of the definitions from the typography list from back in February. We also went over some ideas for Peggy’s Pizza. Making this logo gives us the chance to win $250.

New Media I - Character Animator

Today, we reviewed our interviews and watched this years senior interviews. We were also introduced to Character Animator and Prof. Hyams gave us a few tutorials and showed us how the software interfaces with other software such as encoder and Photoshop.
