Honestly, I think so much about that snippet of him rehearsing the James plays because he’s just so dynamic in it, i think it reveals so much about what a deep actor he is that he puts so much into those little intimate moments we see, he’s so good, how is he so good!!!!

Can I submit a prompt? I was there on the last day of Angels and James told me he'd packed everything already and was living in a bare room because his flight back was first thing the next morning. He joked (maybe) with someone else that he'd tried to book it for that night but they told him he had to go to the afterparty. Then he wasn't in the pictures at Bethesda with Andrew. I want to know the story behind that...

James has grown/is growing a beard! Saw him in quickly in a video from that youth theatre he went to then taught a class at. He looks gooooooood.

To answer you both at once, I think given James's certainty that the play is going to transfer, and what seems like an unusually short London run for such a big production, it's a really strong possibility. Plus, if it got picked up by one of the not-for-profit theatres here in New York, the schedule would have been preplanned and the odds are strong that James would already have known, as he certainly seemed to know, exactly what was going to happen. And that explains why he was so confident of the transfer, so I feel like if you wanted to wait you'd both be in a good position! The question for me is whether it's transferring in the fall or spring. Because I can *maybe* wait til next October but I am *not* waiting til like March 2020 or something, I will physically expire.

YOU GUYS! The NT finally announced the Ibsen!!!!!!!

I woke up to the Twitter McArdle posse, luv you guys lol, being excited about this, so happy you are all on UK time so i never have to find out news by myself lol.

LOOK IT’S SO PRETTY! AND RIDICULOUS? THIS SHOW SOUNDS SO RIDICULOUS LOL:

Hare transfers the action to a fictionalised and fantastical 21st century world, where Peer becomes Peter, propelled into a free-wheeling world of music, dance, weddings, trolls and two-headed children.

This makes it seem like a modern AU fanfic of Peer Gynt set in Scotland, which I AM PRETTY MUCH OKAY WITH BECAUSE I WOULD WATCH JAMES MCARDLE READ THE PHONE BOOK. Especially great is that McArdle will apparently be “playing Peter across all chapters of his life,” which should be amazing to watch onstage.

(Also please enjoy the fact that the set/costume designer Richard Hudson is best known for designing The Lion King ahaha what is this show)

Except this schedule is so mysterious? It looks like the show is only playing for one month in London, followed by one month at the Fringe, and then ???? maybe headed directly to New York? IN THE FALL?????

A friend speculates it could be transferring to one of the Broadway non-profits which would have ironed out the schedule earlier than a commercial theatre, which would explain why James was so sure of a Broadway transfer. But that means he could be in New York by roughly October 2019 instead of April 2020. SHOULD I GO SEE HIM IN LONDON ANYWAY??? WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?
