Guess it's officially that time of the year again. Mayflies are rampant again.
After 16 straight watches tanking between Hunt and Warrior, we are finally underway for more than just 6 miles. (at Tuscaloosa, Alabama)
at Hunt Refining
8 watches in a row doing transfers. At least we're staying busy. (at Warrior Asphalt)
I suppose it's about time to invest in some hair ties. (at Warrior Asphalt)
Time to get back at it. (at Hunt Refining)
Random rant
I've recently found myself in a disturbingly pensive mood fairly often. If I'm not working or taking measures to distract myself, I'm stuck in a constant loop. I feel like I need some kind of change in my life, but I'm honestly in a good place in every respect that isn't mental or emotional. I have a good job that will take care of me and my potential family. I have amazing friends, who are always willing to set time aside for me if I need it. With one exception, I have a wonderful relationship with my family. I don't really have anything that I should be complaining about, but something is off. It's hindered my ability to write or motivate myself for much of anything. All of my free time has basically devolved into burying myself into various TV shows and anime. And nothing has been able to distract me for very long. I've considered therapy of various sorts, but the nature of my work makes that a little difficult. Sorry for the long, ranting post. Just needed to get my thoughts out for a few and this is probably the only free medium I have left.
Back at it, folks. See you all in three weeks. (at Northport, Alabama)

Mental health awareness month. Letās be rid of the stigma. #dailythought
Gorgeous evening for discharging.
Nothing like a surprise promotion to start your evening.
Restless night but a beautiful morning.
Okay so it seems like people will call any mallet percussion instrument a xylophone and Iām here to teach you shit.
This is a xylophone. The wood part is thick and itās high pitched.
This is a marimba. Itās huge and expensive. No like a small one costs over $4,000 (3186.20 euros). The key things are really long and thin.
Now do you see this beautiful instrument? This is called the vibraphone motherfuckers. Or just the vibes. Anyways it sounds amazing. I could marry the sound. Basically, it;s made of metal and you have a pedal to stop it from ringing too long.
This is the glockenphejksdfjkl. I have no idea how to spell it, so lets just call it the orchestral bells. If you hit this shit too loud it can burst your eardrums.Ā
These are a joke.
I live how angry op is
Sure are a lot of xylophones on this post.
