sofia contently follows her father out to his car. her mind somewhat lost in thought about what kind of ice cream she’d like to get. the thought interrupted by the actual question from her father as she reaches to open the car door and climb into the backseat. “i’m not sure yet.” she response. “i think maybe i’ll wait until we get there.”

mark loved getting to spend quality time with his daughter. it was something he never got as a child with either of his parents and he swore that when he had children that was something he’d do differently.  “ I think that sounds like a great idea. then you can look at all the flavors they have. ” the surgeon said looking at the young girl and then closing the door once she was in the car.

mark looked at the other surgeon and shook his head. “listen I've been doing this a lot longer than you have and unless you want to scar that poor girl’s face which I doubt she or her parents will be happy about you might want to use the 4-o vicryl.” mark stated looking at the blonde and then looking at the other suture kit that was in the room.

mark didn’t really care what kind of wedding they had. big or small, fancy or not. all that matter to him was at the end of the day is that he got to call lexie his wife. he wasn’t really into picking out flower arrangements or looking at wedding venues, but he loved seeing the look on lexie’s face while they did so.  “you know lex, sooner or later we’re going to have to pick a place to get married.” he chuckled to himself and then gave her a slight smile. this past year hadn’t been the easiest on the both of them, but they had gotten through it and honestly mark didn’t know how he would’ve done it if lexie hadn’t been by his side.

“listen, you and callie go and enjoy your vacation. the kid and I will be fine. how many times do I have to tell you that?” mark said looking at the other surgeon shaking his head a little bit. “she’s a baby and I'm a double board certified surgeon. I'm more than qualified to take care of my own DAUGHTER for a few days.”

hello fellow roleplayers!! as you can tell, I haven’t been that active the past week and the next week it’s not going to get any better! this past week, I was my college for orientation and on june 28st, i’m heading to Ohio for my uncle’s wedding and I’m not sure how much service/internet usage I’ll get when I’m there. it’s very important for me for all of you to know that I’m not abandoning this blog and once I come back, my summer is pretty much wide open other than working during the daytime! so from JUNE 27ST TILL JULY 5TH I’m going on hiatus. I might pop in occasionally and do a few replies, but if you really want to stay in touch with me please add me on discord because most of the time the Tumblr app hates me and my phone & it loves to crash. once again, I love you all and I can’t wait to be back in full swing!

              “ wake up, ”   voice low and harsh, words followed closely by a harsh cough, a wince at the ache in her chest, at the metallic tang of blood on her lips. the grimace never leaves her face, as she shakes mark again, she’s lost count of how many times she’s had to do it, how many times she’s had to keep him awake. arizona feels bad every time she does it, thinks about what it must be like, blissfully unaware of the fact that she’ll be on the receiving end of the same treatment in a day’s time,  “ mark — you, y’gotta stay ‘wake. ”

mark groaned as he felt the pain radiating through his body, along with the cold. he was going in and out. lexie was gone and he felt like he was next. “ i'm awake robbins. ” the surgeon coughed and looked up at the blonde. “ can’t leave you alone out here. you might get BORED. ” this wasn’t the time or place for joking but maybe it would lighten the mood a little bit.
