However, in such an intimate situation, where they both felt the warmth of their bodies, heard each other's breath, one wanted to believe Nacho wasn't prey in the clutches of a predator. Was there really no life in those pitch-black eyes? Not a drop of affection, awe, or love?

One of my favorite things to ponder is a thought that crossed my mind while watching the final episode of Season 5: What if Nacho had trusted Lalo and told him the truth, laid it all out, confessed everything, and the two of them had worked together to find a way out of that terrifying situation? For some reason, I’m convinced that Lalo would have understood Nacho and ensured the safety of Nacho’s father - unlike Gus.
