Process Video for <You are Alice in Wonderland>, 2019
Inspiration/ Experimentations with Audio and Coding
First I intended to visualize the project into a video but I felt it needs to be more interactive in order to enable audiences to experience the wonderland actively. I filmed various types of the (visually) mystery of my daily life and get inspired by them(right) and visualized the elements of objects that appear in the book.
I was wondering about what the wonderland would sound like. I researched the sound and visual features of the wonderland on the basis of this 'out of the physical world' concept. I found out Mars is considered to be similar to Earth but it does not follow the rule of the physical law of earth. Dotted lines and the video responds to beat of the sound of Mars expressing the distorted space-time of the wonderland. The video shows an ambiguous and confusing image constantly with angles moving.
A Book of the World, 2018
Literature, Photography and Drawings combined book
While studying English Literature, I wrote a lot based on these keywords; Ambiguity, Desperation, Real&Fake and Observation. Inspired by my writings and literature(especially poems), I made drawings, graphic works and played with typography and shapes of poems related I felt from each keyword and took photographs while travelling or on ordinary days whenever I feel these keywords.
Ambiguity, William Blake <The Sick Rose>Â Â
Desperation, Ralph Waldo Emerson <The Snowstorm>
Real&Fake, Emily Dickens <I like a look of agony>
Observation, Â William Wordsworth <I Wander Lonely As a Cloud>
Timely Imagination(Time: Its Modality and Creation), 2019
‘Time’ is a concept constructed by ourselves, humans. Time always flows infinitely and constantly However, We keep planners or calendars to organize time in a systematical way in contemporary society. This custom and behaviour show that human beings divided the flow of time which was not a segmentable element before mankind divided it as a creation.
I kept my own calendar and wrote plans since I was 11. I extracted all of this 'written' time, which has a premise that 'time' of humans exists in a segmented way. If I can see all of my recorded times, it could show 'time' itself and idea that human beings invented time.

<Expanding Connections>, 2019
The Layout of Part 1 and 2 is inspired by the shape of ‘Domino’. A relationship is complementary sharing its characteristic with domino in that they are connected to each other. When each page is connected, it becomes harmonious rainbow coloured. This gradient rainbow colours represent the idea that we all are connected.
Inspired by the typographic term hyphen(-),'Expanded Connections’ explores the human hyphenation from various perspectives. The ultimate goal of our connection is to have an authentic relationship. This project consists of a series of related works based on this concept; expanding connections. With this concept, I designed the book  "I and Thou" by the German philosopher Martin Buber as a first work where he represented a deeper sense of connection between 'I’ and 'Thou’(you).

(In)visible, 2019
Philosophical Idea visualization
(In)visible projects strated with philosophical idea of complementary interation. A Chinese Philosopher 'Noja' once said that the utility of unvisible 'nothing' creates the utility of visible 'existence'. That is, what we can see makes visible what we cannot see and vice versa.

Tangible Emotions, 2018
Exploring and visualizaing my emotions: ordinality, frustration and vulnerability
Tangible Emotions presents visualized most noticeable emotions of mine(ordinality, frustration and vulnerability) and finding solutions of handling these ever-changing emtions.
Inspired by Ancient Japanese Touch Therapy, I found a solution for balancing and stablizing my emotions; making my emotions touchable and sensing the ability to control them.
Timely Imagination I (Time: Its Modality and Creation), 2019 This project explores the ways of revealing human-creation ‘time’. The set of posters are slightly different from each other based on the idea that time creates changes and several states exist even in a single moment. After the observation of changes made by time, I wanted to visualize ‘time’ as an element of the 4th dimension. In physics, the 4th-dimensional axis is expressed as time. The trajectory that moves along the time of an object in a three-dimensional space becomes the concept of a four-dimensional object.
What Colours Do (Hide and Seek), 2019
The most basic colours, Red, Yellow and Blue became a big and noticeable coloured circles, stood out of coloured lives. Colours are present in our seasons as well. I harmonized these vivid colours with the strong colour of the Riso.Â
<What Colours Do> : Printing Test Sheets
Printing Test Sheets create confusions of colours and present images that confuse viewers. Inspired by illusional images that mirror can create, I combined this with an idea that colours are also in part of this interesting confusion.
Colours can cause an illusion in our life. I've been always wondered how they work in our daily life. This project began with a deep exploration of 'colour', an essential element of our life.
<What Colours Do>, 2019
Colours are so immersed in our daily life that we sometimes do not recognize colours as they are. We perceive it as just part of some objects sometimes. The most basic colours, Red, Yellow and Blue became a big and noticeable coloured circles, stood out of coloured lives.
<Timely Imagination>,2019
Time is a concept of infinite; the state of unknown and unending change. There are neither the beginning nor the end and we do not know where it comes from nor where it is going for. Â When one sees something, the gaze moves from point A to B and there might be 'time' in between. It is the very characteristic of the time that one cannot describe and notice.
<You are Alice in Wonderland>
younsong.eu : Now, It has been expired.
This project is an interactive work inspired by Lewis Carroll's book; an intriguing idea that goes beyond the laws of physics in wonderland. The website enables audiences to explore the wonderland as Alice in the book, discovering the visual and audio characteristics of it.
