I will be seeing a psychologist soon, and my God, I’m so anxious. I need to tell everything for my own well being. As someone who has been diagnosed with social anxiety disorder and OCD, I can’t even begin to explain how much these have confused me. I feel like the world is ending, like I can’t bear any more shame. And I’m not even talking about the worst case scenarios in my mind. I hope I can get through this soon and express everything properly because I know that healing is the only way forward. I’ve been to psychiatrists many times before, and nothing I feared actually happened, yet every time, expressing myself feels like torture. But I have to do this for the beautiful future and dreams I imagine for myself.

And one more thing: people really don’t understand how terrifying and distressing mental illnesses can be. Seeing that no one is truly informed and being subjected to judgments is very upsetting. I hope no one ever has to face these challenges.

I also want to say that I have a lot of respect for therapists and doctors. If there’s anyone among us who works in this field, I deeply admire you. Being able to touch someone’s life and help them heal is an incredible job. I’m glad you exist.
