*The door the sullys butcher shop opened and closed as a boy who looked about fifteenâŠmaybe sixteen not quite old enough to drive with a guardian let alone without one, walked in, no parent or guardian in sight. The young man was wearing a leather jacket that looked a size or two too big for him and ripped jeans that exposed the messy bandages and scars underneath.
*The boy walked around and tried yo act like he knew what he was looking for and looked to see if anyone else was in the shop besides the owner before he spoke.*
âWhat would you recommend?â
(-???)
Well I suppose that would depend on what you life. I prefer cuts of steak, but all my meats are good
*his eyes wander over the boy looking over his appearance* what are you looking to make?
âŠSomething thatâs not too expensive maybe? I donât know im trying to learn how to cook but steak sounds fine.
*He wouldnât say the reason he was having to learn the craft but the man didnât ask so that currently wasnât an issue.*
He nods showing him the less expensive cuts of meat.
âLearning to cook is a valuable skill at any age I think. Iâm sure youâll do fine. Itâs kinda hard to ruin a steakâ he assures him.
âI havenât seen you come in here beforeâ he notes âfirst time buying meet from a butcher shop instead of the store?â
ââŠyeah you could say that, my dad usually comes to do this kinda stuff but heâsâŠoccupied nowadaysâ
*The teenager doesnât seem bothered at all by the absence of his father, if anything he seems a bit giddy at the fact that the man was conveniently absent from his life here on out though he tried not to show it.*
âHe did say good quality was important in all things and I figured a butcher would have the better product.â
*He looked at the cuts of meat to really sure what the difference between them all was and pointed at one. As he did the sleeve of the oversized jacket fell a bit and revealed more of the messy bandages that were on the boys legs along with cuff shaped scar on the boys wrist. The boy in question didnât seem to notice.*
*he smiles softly at the last part*
âI like to believe I pick the best quality for my shop. I do everything myself so I know nobody else is messing it up.â
*he starts packaging the meat for him, still watching the younger boy as he aimlessly looks around the shop*
âBut I get it, freedom from your parents can feel nice at that age. I wanted to do everything myself when I was your age, wouldnât let anyone help me.â
*sully takes note of his scars but knows it would be inappropriate to bring them up, he quietly tries to signal for the boy to let his sleeve roll back down, tugging at the bottom of his own shirt sleeve*
*The boy picks up on sullys signaling after a second and tugs his sleeve back down with a huff, seemingly annoyed at how easily the jacket would fall out of place from where he decided the fabric should lay.*
âYeahâŠI feels safer to do things yourself, besides heâs not really around much anymoreâŠat all so I figured I needed to learn.â
*The boy was lying about some part of his story it was difficult to decipher what exactly it was though it seemed like the two would be spending a little bit more time together after the sky rings out with a loud crash of thunder before rain started pouring down only seconds after.*
ââŠJust my luck. you wouldnât mind if I stuck around until the rain stops would you? âŠItâll probably stop before too longâ
âBe my guest. It would be a shame to get the food you just bought all wet. You know there is a kitchen in the back of the shop, I doubt anyone will be out in this rain. I could show you how to cook it with a practice cutâ he offers
"Huh...okay, we can do that...You're surprisingly nice for a stranger."
*The boy set his ratty bookbag down beside the counter after he gets an old oddly colored bear that was mostly a reddish brown but it got increasingly lighter the higher you looked on the bears frame and if you looked closely you could likely see traces of white fur still remained on the bears ears.*
âI find no need to be rude, you havenât been so far. And weâve got the time. Iâm stuck open until this storm blows over and I canât quite go home yet.â
*he looks at the bear he pulls out*
âSeems like that little guys been through the warâ he laughs softly.
âMy little one carries her stuffie everywhere and itâs seen better daysâ
âYou have a kid?âŠI suppose thatâs not too surprising youâre definitely old enough, whatâs her name?âŠand youâres, What should I call you?â
*The boys questioning seems genuinely curious rather than malicious or scheming.*
*He notes the manâs comment about the stuffed bear but doesnât seem to notice it was likely meant to be a joke.*
âIâm angel and this is stiches, we take care of each other.â
âI do, sheâs just about to be ten, I also watch my little brother, heâs about your age. You can call me Sully. Itâs nice to meet you Angelâ
*he leads him to the back*
*He follows sully, being careful not to touch anything more out of habit than anything else.*
âHm well they must be nice as well if theyâre anything like you- âŠis youâre last name Sullivan by any chance? I think youâre brother might be in one of my classes at school, Iv never talked to him myself but I hear things about him from others sometimes.â
âItâs is.â
*he pauses to look at him trying to gauge his reaction to Cade.*
âWhat sort of things do you hear?â
*he asks curiously, he mindlessly puts on his apron and goes to the stove in the back, getting out everything he needs*
âThat heâs aggressive, a lonerâŠmight be slightly insaneâ
*Angel rambles to the tall man that to anyone else would likely seem intimidating*
âYâknow mainly just highschool gossip nothing to bad I assure you, and if it helps you peace of mind any I think he sounds quite interesting!â
*Though he typically doesnât go out of his way to talk to otherâs, finding no real reason to and finding most people boring, to be determined as interesting by the boy was high praise.*
âCade hasnât discovered how to make friends yet unfortunately. Though Iâm glad to hear itâs nothing bad. I asked him to behave in public at least.â
*he starts showing him the basics of cooking cutting in with his commentary about their conversation, he hands the tongs to Angel moving him closer to the stove to copy him*
âIf you find him interesting, would you be interested in being his friend. Heâll probably kill me if he finds out I talked to someone about him. But I worry sometimes. He canât spend all his time with his niece. And heâs currently not the biggest fan of my companyâ
*cade seems to be going through a phase where he blames everything on Sully. And sully seems to just be taking it at the moment*
âoh I donât know if that would be the best ideaâŠim not really good at the whole friendship thingâ
*He was much better at the academic parts of life than the social ones in a lot of cases the only social skills Angel could provide was manipulation knowledge and that was more phycology then anything else in his mind so it didnât really count. This time was different though⊠he could be honest around the older man, not too honest but honest enough.*
*He pays careful attention to what sully is doing, both out of a survival instinct and out of genuine interest in the craft, and attempts to mimic his actions the best he can.*
âMost teenagers seem to go through the phase of blaming their guardians for everything and anything, heâll grow out of it eventuallyâŠmost likely. I had a small phase like that about a year ago now, though i chose to take a more practical approach to my issues and simply resolve them myself in the end.â
*Heâd gotten that from a mix of reading, people watching and eevs droping.*
âPerhaps friends is an over shoot, but Iâd prefer if he found a way to hang out outside of the house that wasnât destructive. Youâre doing quite well by the way, you learn quickly and you listen well.â
*he doesnât like how easily the boy can read him, noting that his guard was down*
âIâm hoping thatâs all this is. He can be a handful at times, Iâm not a fan of having to deal out punishments. But he doesnât learn without consequences.â
âThank you, you really do care about them donât you?â
*Angels parents never really cared about his social development, Instead wanting the boy to excel academically as well as in other things while still insuring he stayed âobedientâ*
âHe should consider himself lucky that he has you actually looking out for his wellbeingâ
*Something about the way angel said that whether it was the tone of voice or the expression on his face gave the impression that he didnât have that.*
*The boy sully was cooking with was certainly strange*
âCade says caring is my biggest weakness but I disagree. I donât do well when I bottle up my feeling. And it wouldnât be fair as me as their guardian to snap at either of them.â
*he raises an eyebrow at him*
âAnd why would that make him lucky?â
*he watches as the food is almost done, going to just offfer to let the boy eat it as his lunch*
âBecause some donât get that mr sullivan, I know I wouldâve liked to have someone else looking after me.â
*Angels gaze is colder then it had been throughout the rest of their interaction while he spoke that last sentence before it returned to the calm simi emotionless expression he normally wore.*
âBut thatâs really not a story I should be telling anyone this soon after meeting them would it?â
*He seemed to genuinely be attempting to figure out what would be the most socially acceptable approach to this situation clearly not trusting the older man yet to let him know the truth about his situation do to only having recently met him.*
âEveryone deserves to keep at least a handful of secrets. Iâm not trying to pry into your life, simply offering my help because I currently have the time and nothing better to do. This is much better than just sitting up front starring out a windowâ
*he takes note of his expression*
âEverything ok? Your tones shiftedâ
*he can sense the mistrust but isnât sure how to mitigate that yet. He doesnât want the young boy afraid of him, as someone like him would never be a target for sullys extra circular actives. No one under 18 unless itâs self defense or someone hurt Cade or dipper*
âHm oh yeah im fine, Its really nothing you need to worry about.â
*A lie, simple white lie but a lie nonetheless. It wasnât that the boy feared him, simply that he didnât know the man enough to trust him with his secrets, the man seemed different from the other men the boy had met as he actually seemed to care for those he claimed to, though perhaps that would be a good thing for the both of them as most of the previous men hadnât survived long after meeting the boy.*
âI can understand that, but I donât tend to trust most adults with my life and even once I do ItâsâŠdifficult to explain to say the least.â
*The boy said as he shrugged looking at the older man and attempting to read him once again.*
âThatâs understandable, thereâs a lot of bad adults out there.â
*he turns off the stove once the steak is finished and he gets a plate for angel*
âNow itâs time for the taste test, see if the food you made is any good. Youâll certainly get better with practice, you seem to pick up on things quicklyâ
âI a quick study. Thank you for this tho, I was planning to just go borrow a cookbook from the library and try my luck with the instructions that provided, I think this was a better learning experience though.â
*Angel takes the plate givin to him and gets a wrapped set of disposable utensils out of his pocket before opening them and trying the meal they made.*
âhm, itâs goodâ
âThe teen said with a pleased smileâ
âWell the library can teach you a lot too. When Iâm not here or at home. Iâm there picking books for Dipper and I. Cade on the other hand both hates the library and cooking. He almost burnt down the house last time I asked him to make dinner cause I was going to be lateâ
*his tone is half serious, half joking, heâs still a little mad about it*
âIâm glad you like it. Now you know what to do when you go homeâ
âDid he almost burn down your house out of pettyness or lack of skill?â
*Angel genuinely asks, getting more and more interested in why this man and his family feel different than most normal people do. Cade from what heâs seen at school seems to not really care about whether heâs causing pain to others or not, he was rude sometimes without most others knowing muttering to himself in french. Not something most people would understand, but Angel wasnât most people.*
*He liked to know how people worked, and most he could predict easily enough most people his age and often times older turned out to be quite bland after around a day or two of âŠwell it seems rude to say studying but studying, he did it for multiple reasons though.*
âIm well aware, i frequent the library a lot, iv actually got to go there later this week to return a book on Russian, I decided to teach myself.â
*tries to hide a small snort behind his hand at his question*
âPerhaps a bit of both. It got him out of dinner duty for a long time.â
*he hums slightly impressed*
âRussian isnât easy to learn. I know Irish, French, English obviously, and Iâm still learning Welsh.â
âWell I suppose it was effective thenâ
*His eyes light up at the small impressed hum*
âImpressive! I know french, Spanish, the word for raccoon in german, english and im teaching myself Russian. I spend a lot of time reading and studying different things. Besides the fact that itâs not easy just makes it more enjoyable to learn.â
*He smiles enjoying being aloud to talk about his interests and fascination with knowledge without the older man thinking heâs weird.*
âI wasnât really allowed to have access to technology until i was put in the public school system so I learned other ways to entertain myself.â
âMy little one only has a phone that can call and text, itâs only got three numbers saved on it so she can call in an emergency. Cade however is always on his phone unless heâs working on his artâ
*his ears perk up when he hears the bell from the door at the front ring*
âExcuse me for a moment. Iâm surprised anyone came out in this weatherâ
*he walks back to the front of the shop*
*Angel took the opportunity to peek to the front of the shop to see if they could recognize the person, Sully my seem to be a good enough person to keep his life but there were others that had made their way on the teens hitlist.*
*walks through the front door*
Demitri, oĂč diable es-tu?
*Sully rolls his eyes*
Speak of the devil and he shall appear, excuse me while I see what he wants
An: *opps I hit save instead of send*
*Angel nods being more than happy to just observe the two for nowâŠthere really was no need to make his presence known to the younger sullivan.*
*not yet anyways*
*besides he could gather more information to add to his notes, it would insure there eventual introduction went smoothly.*
as-tu pris mes pinceaux?
No. *he doesnât humour him in speaking only in French* why would I have done that?
*cade grumbles*
Because youâre upset about my grade.
Iâm not upset, just disappointed. I donât understand how you get a C in the one class you actually like.
Well they werenât there when I got home.
Maybe Dip got into your room, did you ask her?
non, elle n'est pas Ă la maisonâŠ
Comment ça, il n'est pas à la maison?
*sullys tone shifts much darker when he switches to French*
tu es son pĂšre, tu devrais le savoir-
*sully pinches the bridge of his nose to bite back his anger*
*Angel listens curiously to the conversation. Sullys fine with cade having a c? Well not fine but he certainly didnât seem enraged like angels father would have beenâŠluckily thatâs not an issue anymore and hasnât been for some time. Still it interested him to see how the man actually caredâŠperhaps he would be able to have something similar one day, though he canât imagine it being a likely scenario it is a nice thought.*
*Dipper? that must be his daughter, angel doesnât really know why but he feels a bit of concern creeping into his mind, he wanted the girl to be safe, he didnât know her though and so the feeling was more confusing than anything else.*
I get your upset, if we canât find the paintbrushes Iâll buy you new ones. But donât you think finding your niece should be a little bit higher in your list of concerns?
*his words come out slow and careful*
Do you see the storm you walked here in? If sheâs outside she could get hurt.
*a small scoff leads cades lips*
More like hurt someone
*he mutters under his breath, still not noticing anyone else was in the store. Heâs never seen sully bring anyone to the back that lived*
Détends-toi, je suis sûr qu'il s'est enfui avec tes cousins
*sully sighs*
I canât just leave the shop, so either you stay here or you help me find her.
Call me when you find her.
*he moves behind the counter still not seeing angel*
*Angel wonders silently why cade doesnât seem too concerned about his niece, and slightly peeks out and just hopes he wonât be seen to see if thereâs anything more going on realizing he doesnât have a good escape route anyway do to both cade now being here and the storm.*
*He does want to attempt to befriend the boy, but this certainly wasnât what he had planned*
*cade was about to head to sullys office but he stops himself, something telling him to go in the opposite direction toward the kitchen where Angel is hiding*
*Angel watches as cade turns and heads his direction instead cursing under his breath when he does. When cade does walk in he greets the boy the best he knows how, with an awkward as fuck wave.*
Who the fuck are you? *he pauses, looking him up and down gauging his threat level*
âIm angel noir, Im in your history classâŠthe teacher normally calls me by the wrong name because he thinks mine is too feminineâ *Its not the best way to introduce himself but itâs how people from school normally recognize him upon introduction*
*Angels scars are for the most part covered and in his oversized clothes paired with his smaller frame he doesnât seem like much of a threat, itâs what makes many people underestimate him.*
Angelo?
*he remembers the name the teacher called everyday because it was only a few before his*
What are you doing in my brothers kitchen? What do he hire new staff?
*he looks at him confused*
ââŠsure, but no heâs just letting me hang out for a bit until the storm calms down enough for me to head home and not end up soaked and likely sick.â
*He sighed not thrilled with how almost nobody knows his actual name but it does prove to be useful in some situations*
*Cade didnât seem mad by his presence so that was good at least.*
No. I meant thatâs what the teacher calls you. I noticed because you look annoyed everytime he calls on you.
Heâs a dick for not figuring it out by now-
*he shrugs nonchalantly as he goes to steal some of the cooking wine from the back fridge*
Youâd probably blow away in the storm
*he jokes about his smaller appearance*
ohâŠi didnât think you knew my name, he knows though heâs just a dick
*he watches cade some of the wine with some interest as heâs not used to seeing people there age drink unless theyâre doing something stupid though he brushes it quickly.*
*He snickers a bit at cades joke*
it does seem like it doesnât it? It surely wouldnât do me any favors
Youâre lucky this isnât Hurricane area, I hear thousands of people die in those things.
*he almost sounds happy when he says that*
This storm wouldnât even be close to causing any real damage anyways. Itâs just annoying me. I hate being stuck inside.
*he looks at the boy offering him the bottle*
Yeah I guess, my immune system is shit though and Id really prefer not having another sickness I canât get rid of for weeks, our schools enough of a petri dish as it is. Though you do have a point a lot of people do die in hurricanes their most of the time in pretty boring and quick ways, a lot of people die after the fact too just from the lack of resources the storm left them with though, people really tend to get desperate then.
*Angel rambles, a small smile finding its way into his face as he notes cades subtle happiness(?) involving the suffering and death of others. Though he finds his own enjoyment in the fact, he does tend to find quick deaths a bit boring, he likes to observe people after the fact, at their most desperate and pushed past their moral and physical limits.*
Im pretty used to being stuck inside or at least in one place at this point, it doesnât bo me too much
*He politely shakes his head, declining the offer*
Mother and father tried to trap me inside, it didn't go well for them. and Demtri's house is so boring, he wants everything so neat and tidy and it drives me nuts.
My brother lacks creativity, and visionâŠ
*he takes note of him declining*
suit yourself
I never really met my mother, she left around two weeks, maybe three after I was born from what I was told. My father did tend to take a similar approach as far as locking me inside though he was more disorganized than your brother, a bit of a hoarder as well.
Thereâs still a few things he had hidden and stashed around our house that even I havenât found yet
*Angels very particular about what they eat and drink, itâs a trama response do to their upbringing though not one theyâll willingly explain out loud.*
*he watches him curious why heâs sharing so much when this is their first real conversation. Heâs only sharing because he wants to get drunk and really doesnât care what angel thinks of him yet. And heâs bored*
Mothers are overrated. Demetri and I are doing fine without ours. Dipper doesnât have hers, I donât know if Iâd consider that child fine, but sheâs ok I guess.
Im sure heâs found her already. Sheâs never been great at hiding.
*The things angel is sharing arenât typically things heâd consider secrets, it wasnât like anyone could change his past now so he found really no point in hiding it if someone else talked about theirs, and if cade did drink enough of that wine he might not remember their conversation anyway.*
He seems ratherâŠprotective of her from what i overheard
*More like eavesdropped.*
You have no idea. I think he babies her. That made sense when she was an actual baby. Sheâs nearly 10 now. The things I got away with at her age she doesnât even get a chance too because when he is home he watches her like a hawk.
*he takes another big sip intending to finish the bottle that was only half full when he started*
I love her to death, but she also makes me want to chop off my own head sometimes. Children talk⊠a lot. At least she speaks to me in French at home.
They do tend to be more reckless and secretive when theyâre not aloud the freedom they need
*Angel talks based on his own experiences growing up and knowing that even now heâs a bit more reckless than he needs to be when it doesnât involve his more grotesque hobbies*
Préférez-vous parler en français?
*He asks genuinely curious, and really only having heard cade muttering french insults under his breath at school before today.*
je le fais, je suis nĂ© lĂ -bas. I didnât want to learn English until we moved here. Demetri is Irish, his French is⊠interesting. But Dipper picked it up pretty quick with me teaching her.
Hm interestingâŠIm mainly self taught If you donât count textbooks and literature as teachers.
*Angel intentionally leaves out his own place of birth mainly due to not knowing and not truly having an opportunity to find out for sure at this point*
What do you do for fun?
*he asks curiously, bored out of his mind*
I study things mostly, Iv been interested in biology and phycology the most lately
*There was a slight nervousness in angels voice that most people wouldnât bother to question on the off chance it was noticed.*
*Lately Angels been studying the human braking point having been pushed to his own long ago and trying to figure out why he was so broken now*
I go out and feed stray cats sometimes whenever Iâm getting frustrated with that though
Thatâs what it is about you. You speak like someone interested in psychology
*thereâs distaste in his tone*
And what exactly about it do you find so captivating
*he finished the bottle lightly tossing it into the recycling bin. Not even bothering to hide it*
*He shrugs*
Its interesting to see how people work, kinda like a machine you get to know how all of the prices influence each other
*You take them apart to put them back together so they work the way you want, until theyâre nothing more than puppets waiting to rid themselves of their strings and become puppeteers themselves.*
Iv read a few books on philosophy and physiology, their not as interesting as being hands on with it
*Books on Serial killers and medical books left behind by the man who was killed by his own âprojectâ*
*watching his eyes as he speaks he grins almost to himself, seeing something darker there. It intrigues him, and Cade doesnât find interest in many people*
Iâd like to understand how my brother works. He makes no sense to me sometimes. I donât get how we have the same parents. At least heâs not like them.
*Angels eyes light up at cade not immediately telling them to shut up and kinda taking an interest in their obsession hobby*
I might be able to help with that! A lot of the time a personâs experiences and trauma will shape how they behave as an adult, itâs not typically hard to pinpoint what exactly happened to shape a person as long as you pay attention to them and their surroundings. Though it helps to have a good idea of what to look for.
*Angel himself had an eidetic memory, which could be helpful and harmful in certain situations but itâs what helped him survive this long paired with the skills heâs talking about currently so he couldnât really complain.*
For example you said your brother is really protective over his daughter to the point of coddling her, and he hadnât mentioned a wife when he told me about the both of you which leads me to be that sheâs out of the picture for one reason or another and his daughter is the only part of her he has left so he does whatever he can to make sure that sheâs safe and healthy.
Thought that is just an educated guess and you can tell me if i went too far.
I donât understand why he misses her so much, he didnât even know her that long. Dipper doesnât miss her because theyâve never met. I think he should move on, he knew her a year and itâs been 10 since she died.
If he keep spoiling her, something like this storm isnât gonna be what takes her out. Heâs making her weak.
*Angel shrugs*
People are weird when it comes to romance. Iv never understood it myself but to each their own I suppose.
You do have a good point though, there are definitely worse things then this storm she may have to face
*Angel would know, heâs seen what monsters people can be and ended up becoming one himself out of necessityâŠout of survival, at least thats how it started.*
He just started to let me watch her again and now that heâs working more he seems to think itâs my job to do so when Iâm home and not at school.
*he specifically avoids saying why he was banned from watching her for a while*
I donât think romance itself is stupid, o think it has its places. But falling in love with someone that fast- thatâs what I donât believe. Iâm still half convinced dippers mother was a witch and cursed my brother to be like this. All lovesick and depressing, itâs pathetic. He used to be a real man before we moved to America.
Iâv never quite seen the point in romance, I mean I get why some people would want it but âloveâ doesnât really make sense to me, and im actually fine with not understanding it because nine times out of ten it doesnât work out well for the people involved from what Ive seen
*Angel asked more out of curiosity than anything else*
And the witch thing could be a possibility but magic has never been proven to exist, Itâs much more likely that it was just textbook manipulation if your looking at things from that angle
*He avoids asking about why he wasnât allowed to watch his niece before, thinking it mustâve been a touchy subject*
A real man? And what do you think a real man is exactly?
Someone who thinks with his head an not his feelings. Heâs such a square now. Now he just works, and sits at home and read his books and babies his daughter. Being a father made him boring. I hate boring.
*the reason heâs not allowed to watch her is cause he tried to teach her to swim the hard way*
Hm, so youâre not the sentimental type at all are you? Thatâs alright I prefer a more logical approach to things too most of the time
*angel thinks back on their conversation and realizes he hasnât gotten to ask cade as many questions as heâs been asked*
So weâve talked about my hobbies how about yours? what do you do for fun? I mean besides art I heard you talking to your brother about it earlier and iv seen the art you do at schoolâŠIts pretty good
*He might be able to figure out whatâs so interesting about the boy if he knew a bit more about him.*
Youâve seen my art? The school keep saying my stuff is too âscaryâ itâs why I got a bad grade last time. The teacher said I went too far with my last piece and sent me to the school counsellor. It was a bunch of bullshit.
*he shrugs*
Nothing youâd find interest in Iâm sure
*he canât immediately find an answer that sounds normal*
I see it in the teachers desk sometimes when iâve gotta drop something off in there. It was unique, and it at least stood out unlike most of the other stuff I see from that class. I donât see how youâre piece couldâve been âtoo farâ though arts not really something iv had the time to study so Im probably not the best judge
*Angel does find his lack of answer suspicious, a rather dull answer from someone who claims to hate boredom.*
I highly doubt that
I go hunting *he tries to explain it in a way that doesnât sound deranged* I like to watch the animals. Sometimes I like to watch people too, but my hunting doesnât extend to them as that would unfortunately be illegal.
Watching people helps me get better at my art. More faces to draw inspiration from, more human expressions to learn.
All the deer meat sold here is actually caught by me
*thatâs not a lie he does hunt deer but he also hunts other animals*
*Angel hums hunting itself didnât seem too odd but the way cade explained it, including the fact that he doesnât hunt people when most people would think that was already implied given how illegal it is.*
Thats cool, I wouldâve thought the shop was mainly your brothers thing
*Angel pauses for a moment to think about their interaction so far before putting together a few more pieces to the puzzle that was cade in his mind, before a small smile forms on his face.*
*Maybe this guy is far more fascinating than the average teen for a reason, and angel had a suspicion on why.*
That was an interesting way to explain it but I get what youâre sayingâŠa live reference is the best in some cases after all
It is mostly his thing, but I donât need the meat from my kills, more money means more allowance, I get more art supplies and weed. Demetri is happier because his business is going well, therefore heâs not on my ass about everything for a little while.
If I pretend to be interested in my brothers hobbies, I am more likely to get what I want from him. Itâs simply really.
*he smiles a little at what angel said*
The one downside is the lives ones move- some of them are a bit squirmy.
Weed? I suppose I shouldnât be too surprised you did finish that bottle of wine
*Angel didnât hesitate to speak his observations out loud when it came to minor things like that.*
I prefer to have my references stay alive through I get how It would be frustrating to have them moving and squirming, but it really depends on what youâre attempting to get out of them
*Angel listens to cades explanation though does start to wonder what the boy does with the references that donât surviveâŠif only they werenât both tip toeing around the truth.*
Itâs all legal back where I was born. Why should I have to change because we moved. I think itâs stupid Americans canât drink or smoke until theyâre 21. Demetri lets me as long as I behave otherwise.
There are much worse things I could be doing.
I hate the ones who move to much. They annoy me. Itâs like they have bugs crawling inside there skin and if they stop moving they escape. Squirming is just pitiful.
Isnât that the reason people move? well many people anyway to change with their environments, there are a few other factors though that seems to be the most common one
*Running to or from something is another though thatâs something heâll need to ask about another time.*
fair enough, mine typically know how awful it would be for them to mess me up by moving too much. Though we work in very different methods it sounds like so i donât know if that would work for you as much.
*squints his eyes at him, wondering if he was right to sense something off about the boy*
And what method do you think I work on exactly?
*He blinks and fakes innocence*
Well you draw and paint of course, I mainly stick to sketching and sculpting
*Sculpting is one of the many ways angel describes what he does with his subjects*
I think I may just have to go through the storm at this rate, I wouldnât wanna stay too long afterall
Maybe you shouldâŠ
*he says flatly*
