theres nowhere near enough ivy appreciation. Like this might be because I run an ivy rp blog but she's not appreciated enough by the fandom. She deserves to be more of a bastard. Her life isn't entirely books, her life isn't entirely her archives it's her crew even if she's scared to show it. Her life is her family who she doesn't know how to interact with. Like I know it's canon she was raised in a library but it keeps making me upset that noone else appears to think Ivy sticks to her archives in hopes she can find a way to communicate with her crew, with her friends and with her family like how she sees others do, in hopes someday she can be someone else- Someone else confident enough to curl up in Tim's arms and act like a cat without having a breakdown.

i think this is probably not the most unpopular opinion but i really like the different ways people write and draw lyf. it’s like the fandom has their own collective oc that everyone has completely different opinions of.

I feel like the fandom is really alienating to women (and especially transfems) with all the “every mechs fan has gender envy for [male character]!!!!” Like damn idk maybe you just only surround yourself with a certain demographic and don’t consider that other people exist. Idk I’m transmasc too so maybe this isn’t my place to say anything but it just irks me when people make sweeping generalizations like that that prioritize a certain type of gender expression (white, skinny, male)

Lyf anon from before, to explain the fan interpretations thing - a lot of fan content I've interacted with has made Lyf this shy, vaguely weak character who needs the Mechs to protect him or something and it sometimes makes me think that I listened to a very different album than everyone else. Lyf literally hates the Mechs, he says it flat out in Expert Testimony. I'm not saying they couldn't become friends, but Lyf is NOT how I feel he's constantly portrayed in fan content.

anyone else think its a bit weird that theres a decent amount of drawings of nastya with facial hair and not that many of ashes with facial hair even though we only have one photo of nastya with a beard and the in the majority of ashes photos they have sideburns?

(just to be clear im not saying drawing nastya with a beard is bad. thats not true.)
