Are you happy with how you look? Is there a strange melancholy nostalgia when you think of how your past self was? Is there this feeling that you're inherently repulsive, that the very idea of being pretty or attractive doesn't fit you because you're just Ugly and nothing can change that?

Its easy to offer advice that you know you yourself should be taking, and ideas like this are likely so hard-wired that it will take a lot of healing and reflection to begin rerouting them.

Loving yourself takes time, and work, and wrestling with the ideas that have been bedded-down for over a decade. But you can feel that something is changing, very very slightly each time. Even if its small, progress is progress and I feel the future looks bright.
