A breath was sucked in through his nose as he considered how he'd be moving forward. He was used to pushing boundaries without other people to think about. That had to change. He had Sani, and others, to live for now. Backups and safety would be discussed next time.
Silas blinked as the tone shifted suddenly and his hands slipped into his pockets. "Yup. Daedalus was still looking good at that altitude, too. Any higher risked dipping into a height that requires supplemental oxygen. Before going any higher, I will need to have a full body flight suit."
His safety was ultimately all she truly cared about. If he promised to be just that then she would give him the chance to prove it. She had every intention, however, of following through and suggesting certain protocols for any future ceiling flight tests. Especially if those flight tests involved the equivalent of a thin shell between him and the earth below at three miles.
"I would recommend something at least lightly armored for any mid flight collisions."
Oh, he was not going to make any counterarguments until she was done. He knew better and kept quiet until Sani was finished. A few more seconds were tacked on as he considered his response.
"It was reckless," He acknowledged, "And... it won't happen again- under normal circumstances."
It was, ultimately, a very smart move. So while she was still a touch on the irate side, she was not nearly as angry as she would have been if he pushed back against her, very valid!, points.
"Good," A long pause, ".......So three miles?"
Every passing second made it ever clearer that he was careening towards the doghouse... there was no getting out of it. Silas' eyes narrowed in a silent wince.
"About ten minutes lead time. There was a Hippogriff vessel nearby just in case, though."
"Ten minutes is hardly enough time to prepare with proper safety and safety related equipment in mind! And what was Hippogriff going to do? Fly underneath you so you created less of a panflap than you would have if you collided with the ground?"
"It.. was a spontaneous test flight. "
"Three miles."
Do you see that, Silas? That is the eye twitch in her holoform of a femme that's progressively getting closer to popping a proverbial blood vessel. "How spontaneous? Was any of this planned at all with fail safes and safety in mind?"
"....I was testing the flight ceiling."
"Clearly this was a test flight that I wasn't privy to either. How high did you end up?"
@medicuum
"I got the propulsion issue in my wings figured out. I promise I'm not going to stall out again unless I fly through an ash cloud."
"I'm not certain if that makes me feel better or more apprehensive," But that was good at least, one less thing for her to worry about. "Wait, again?!"
Commission for @avorous of their character Sani's holoform ♥

Quick commission of @wardogxicarus's Silas with his two cats :) this one was fun to do. I feel like I draw cats every day lol

Ralph raised an eyebrow. Prostethics? Been a while since he had worked with that but it had been part of his interest with his cognitive studies. "I can access the same information as Zizi, but slower." He was still learning to sift through vast amount of data.
Interest piqued, Ralph shifted before walking closer, scanning through some of the more recent medical files. Batteries... was it about the engineer with a leg that kept dying? "I'm assuming you want to shield the battery but don't wish to add the extra weight?" he asked.
Slower? Interesting, she wondered if the pathways to the various medical databanks hadn't been set up properly. Perhaps she could speak with one of the programmers about that so it could be less of an issue in the future.
With a nod, she pulled up the file with the appropriate schematic of the prosthetic in question, "For now, yes. Ideally I would prefer to find a way to not need the battery entirely but for now a shield is the best short term solution."
Ralph felt the odd pull of being summoned. Usually people would speak his name and that was actually harder for him to pinpoint the location of. This felt very distinct, and he could feel it from the medical bay - a location he had gotten familiar with by choice. Someone needed an ear it would seem.
The projectors in Sanitatem's office hummed to life and moments after Ralph's hologram flickered to life, standing in front of her desk. Ralph took a moment to reorient himself, always a little startled by moving across the ship so fast. His brow furrowed slightly being in the doctor's office because it hardly felt like he could be needed here of all places. He tried to keep his expression neutral though.
"Hello Doctor Argyris," he started, ready with his usual speech. "I am Ralph, I am an experimental medical AI programmed to imitate human emotions. I may be glitchy so more complex tasks may be better for Zizi. What can I help you with?"
The little python that was her Zizi proceeded to go into 'sleep mode' at the corner of her desk. Curling up into a ball with the head resting against the body of the virtual snake. Ready to be utilized if need be but otherwise appearing to be snoozing along as the hologram of the human like AI flickered into place.
How intriguing! He looked so life like, enough so that a part of her was curious as to the origins of such a design. Perhaps a question for a later date.
"How expansive is your databank on mechanical prosthetics with battery backup systems?"

Life aboard the Grantham's medical wing was, for the most part, an endless source of monotony and standard every day practices. Bumps and bruises, the occasional flu or cold, and when it came down to the person in charge of the medical wing? Paperwork. Endless amounts of paperwork. It was tedious, and tiresome, and Doctor Argyris practically gnashed her teeth with the desire to find something, anything to break up the standardized monotony that came from being stuck in a contained are with dozens of other people.
Her stylus tapped against her datapad in thought, paperwork was collected on one corner of her desk in favor of being ignored, diagrams and blueprints of various prosthetics, and one very specific one that she was aware of on the ship, had been pulled up. The current prosthetic was an issue, an older model that devastatingly needed an upgrade and the battery and backups draining at far too swiftly of a rate when in the middle of the operator's critical work was, in her professional opinion, a catastrophic problem just waiting to rear its ugly head.
Attempts to ask Zizi had unfortunately proven...useless. The little blue and yellow python AI was certainly helpful for the majority of the time but this needed less calculations and more of a...medical approach with human touch.
Tap tap tap ta-
Wait! Didn't they recently gain access to a secondary AI program specifically for such approaches? Tabbing through her datapd, she searched through her programs until she could find what she was looking for...and clicked on the icon.

Send me what Pokémon team you think my muse would have.
"This seems like a very diverse team that is ready for anything!" She especially likes the Garchomp. She really likes the Garchomp.
Arboliva, Sylveon, and Wigglytuff

"By my research we seem to be weak to steel, but I love all of these! Especially the Sylveon! Its just so cute!"

"Merry Christmas, love." Flavored energon and rescued plants were the theme of this gift. Several cubes of the fuel were laid out for her, and no less than 10 plants, several of which were rare colored orchids, were scattered around the space. Some of them looked less than happy, but were on the mend- having been rescued from neglect in stores and the backs of landscape nurseries.
"And to you as well, amica~"
The cubes will be savored throughout the night, and each plant lovingly repotted or carefully taken out of constricting containers. The rare colored orchids are especially eye catching and will be lovingly taken care of.
Tis the season to be jolly and to spoil people with gifts wherever possible. And so, for the holiday season, the boys have gotten Sani a joint gift.
With seemingly infinite time on her hands there's more than likely plenty of, well, time for leisurely activities. But what to get a Cybertronian?
Books.
So many books. All of them fiction, and some of them spicy (a gift specifically from Jaden). Enjoy the future downtime, Sanitatem.
Oh! Books! These would definitely take her a while to get through, but she will get through them all!
The spicy varieties will be ahem, going home with her though.
