It is June! It is Pride Month!
For this wonderful occasion we have created a brand new design:
This design features a mesh-up from two woodcuts from 'Das buoch der tugend' by Hans Vintler from 1486, displaying devils marrying two wonderful couples. The texts above reads 'love is love' in hand written calligraphy.
We are a two people design project and me, who is running this blog and our instagram, is a bisexual woman, so I really enjoyed creating this design :)
It is available in simple black, black with rainbow lettering, white and white with rainbow lettering!
Happy Pride!

Nylarsker stone
We are happy to show our newest design, featuring the Nylarsker stone, dated to the late Viking age (1075-1125).
"Sassurr had the stone raised in memory of Hallvarðr, his father, (who) drowned abroad with all the seamen"

The wonderful fencing illustrations in Hans Talhoffers fencing manuals are of course iconic! We have two different versions of this Talhoffer design, one of them featuring German calligraphy spelling 'Hep! vor Schwert, vor Körper', which means 'Hep! Before Sword, before Body'.

Who knows one of the most famous medieval poets of the German language: Walther von der Vogelweide (~1170 -1230). This design uses his image from the Codex Manesse from 1304, adding his own poetry in the background. The title below reads 'Tandaradei', which is meant to represent the sound of a nightingale, and is part of his widely known poem Under der Linden:
Under der linden An der heide Dâ unser zweier bette was Dâ mugent ir vinden Schône beide Gebrochen bluomen unde gras Vor dem walde in einem tal Tandaradei Schône sanc diu nahtegal

What would Liechtenauer do?
To answer that question, you might have to try and decipher his famous cryptic 'Zettel', which features in our design!
