Hello, I wish to understand more about "kin". Why do people talk about past lives where they were a character? The character is fictional and not a real person, so there logically is no way they were that person. I apologize if this is rude, I genuinely do not understand.

it kind of relates to the multiverse theory! they may not have been real people, but some people believe there are many universes out there where the characters they kin are real people :) i hope this helps!!!

How do I know if I'm kin with something? Also, can you be kin with a fictional character? I'm not sure if I just really like this character or I'm kin

yes! a lot of people are kin with fictional characters; you will typically know if youre kin if you get memories sort of? as the character? and youll also just get a “that is me” kind of feeling, like when you look at yourself in photos!
