Just as our works do not earn salvation, our repentance does not earn God’s grace. Romans 5 says that Christ died for us before we repented, his forgiveness came before we repented, his reconciliation came before we repented. “Repentance” is our response to this grace. It is not comprised of self-loathing or moralistic striving, but our joyous “I do” to the bridegroom who said his “I do” long ago.

Finding the freedom in surrender. This phrase have been running through my mind for a while now. I have been tossing and turning it in my head because its so deep I think. I get much deeper understanding any time i think about it. There is such freedom when we actually surrender to God. Its ironic but its so true. So much freedom.

Eternally grateful for the Passover Lamb; our risen Messiah, Lord of lords and King of kings.
Love this Bible verse very much.
At the cross and in the resurrection, Jesus gave us costly grace and total healing. We are both forgiven and free. We are saved from ourselves and sanctified for His mission. We cannot be prideful because our sin was fully rebellious, but we can be joyful because our sin was fully revoked. God redeemed us from both laziness and legalism.
