Friendly reminder for MelbSPA's: BE COURTEOUS
We’ve received complaints about the pocky game and spin the bottle being played at the most recent con, as well as disrespectful and boisterous behaviour. As the admins, we do not support this behaviour in the slightest. When you’re in Homestuck cosplay, you represent the fandom as a whole. We have a bad enough rep as it is.
Be respectful. Do not engage in controversial behaviour. If you’re underage and playing games that involve kissing and touching others, this is extremely frowned upon and brings up age/consent issues which we may have to answer to.
Do not block walkways, do not disrupt other con-goers. These are things we should abide by not just inside but outside the con environment too.
Cons are exciting, and hanging out with other people who like the stuff you do is great, but be aware and be thoughtful.
If you had any problems at Armageddon and wish to speak with an admin about it, please contact us on Tumblr or via Facebook and we’ll help you out. I’m happy to pass you on to a fellow admin if you’re prefer to talk to someone else.
For those of you who did the right thing and tried to speak up or simply behaved appropriately, thank you! I hope your con was a wonderful one!
