because i painted this yesterday and put it up last night when i got home and i keep smiling every time i go past it to go to the kitchen or something uwu))
so i've definitely considered the two big ships with this character. but one is like? i prefer the adopted siblings angle better? and the other is just like? okay i see your point, but mountain grown zucchinis [friend came up with the phrase and i am living for it]
so uh. don't. don't read too much into it. it's not a one to one. especially with the second one. but uhhhhhhh
he's ♦ with one twin and ♠ with the other the way i like it best
i'm not looking for any shippy ships with this character, since we're both aroace but he's heavier on the aro and i'm heavier on the ace, but zucchinis are definitely on the table uwu [and i could definitely see it with certain OCs but yeah]))

Melli Height Analysis:

Welcome to my first analysis post!
Seriously though, I have extensively tested the height mechanics in that game, and they are completely broken/do not accurately reflect the true heights of people, Pokemon and objects. Pokemon and character models have been scaled down/up in a lot of cases for what I can only assume to be logistical and technical reasons, and likely for visual harmony on screen. We have canon heights for every pokemon, and from comparing their in game models to each other we can see that the game isn’t accurate for scale, and therefore it’s one of those times that in-game assets cannot be used to determine true intended scale. One thing we can look to as being a lot more accurate is offical canon heights and artwork, and we just so happen to have some of that available to us to play around with.
In the pokemon legends Arceus guide book we have this image Which gives us a canon night for Volo at 190cm, which in feet equals 6’2.8. This image also has Akari for scale, so if we throw the two of them into a chart we get this
(Please note that I am measuring from the top of the head, as that what the designers did in the above image)
Akari is absolutely tiny! Alright, lets keep going!
In the same book we also have this artwork of Adaman standing next to Akari, so using the image of Akari for scale we can add Adaman to the chart.
Adaman is about 5’9 in heels. Okay work (6’3 if you count the hair. Which we don’t 👀)
Okay, moving on
Now again in the same book we have this image of Adaman and Melli next to one another. Now using Adaman for scale if we add Melli to the chart then we get… 😳
Our boy is BIG! Please note that Melli’s legs are bent in the artwork, and therefore a few inches can likely be added to his height on the chart. Melli is in the 7 foot range easily.
Now is this completely accurate? Likely no. While I tried my best to line the images up I did just eyeball them, but the actual results wouldn’t be too far off of this chart. I actually think that this is a much more accurate way of determining intended scale opposed to the in-game assets, as we know that the scaling has been adjusted in those games, and that they do not accurately reflect the canon heights of people and pokemon that are available to us. The images seen here are all offical, and feature characters drawn by the designers with their intended scales to one another, again proving that the in-game models are likely to be inaccurate. Melli is one of the (if not THE) tallest characters in PLA.
((been having a rough go of it lately, which hasn't been helping my *gestures vaguely* anything. might be a link in the near future for buying crocheted goodies from me. we'll see how easy it is for me to figure out

Melli, being a bit of a picky eater, prefers to know exactly what is in his food before he eats it. that, coupled with the fact that they live in a pretty secluded area, has made them quite sufficient at cooking
he's not the greatest at it by any means, but he knows how to turn simple ingredients into something tasty and filling. he's also got a good idea on what in the highlands is safe for human consumption and what isn't. it's not a complete list, but it covers enough to get by
side note: this isn't to say that they'll never try strange foods, they just really need to trust the source, and also like to know what the ingredients are
