ways to improve your salah
understand what you are reciting knowing what you are reciting will help you understand the blessings in what you are saying as well as the beauty of salah. this will make you feel more connected with Allah SWT.
have humility and meekness understand that you are facing the Lord of the Worlds, the One, that nothing is hidden from Him and He knows what is in your heart. so earnestly stand before Him and pour out your heart and ask for forgiveness hoping that it will be accepted.
pray as if it is your last prayer this one is important because you truly do not know if it will be your last prayer or not. think to yourself before you pray: if I die before the next prayer, how can I make sure that this prayer is the best prayer I have ever done? and build that into a habit every time where you are praying sincerely with concentration.
imagine that Allah SWT is right there in front of you and is watching you pray He is right there in front of you but sometimes it can be forgotten or not fully appreciated, so it needs to be visualised. imagining Him by your head as you do sujood you will help you gain that humility and meekness and will make you be more concentrated as you are aware that you are praying before the very One who created you, who has blessed you, who is the Most Forgiving and Merciful, subhanallah. this is your time with Allah SWT to worship Him and have a conversation with him so concentrate and bow down to Him sincerely.
understand the blessings in it doing research on the beauty of prayer and the blessings in it will make you never want to miss a prayer and will change a 'i have to pray' mindset to a 'i want to pray' mindset as you will not want to miss out on the beautiful blessings of salah. remember: we need Allah SWT, He does not need us. it is for our own benefit.
set alarms to pray on time this will serve as a reminder that it is time to pray. snoozing the alarm will hopefully cause some guilt which can motivate you to pray and to do it on time.

Al-Quran 55:45
We are continuously tested
Invest sensibly
Attain your happiness by showing gratitude and render your sadness into patience

“Everything in this life is a test. Allah says in the Qur’an: “It is He who created death and life in order to test you, which of you are best in deeds. And He is the Exalted in Might, Oft-Forgiving.” (67:2)”
— Yasmin Mogahed
“You cannot call yourself patient until you are willing and able to bear things that you have no wish to bear.”
— Salman al-Ouda
“We often wonder why God gives and takes, constricts and expands. What we forget is that human beings understand things by their opposites. Without dark, we can’t understand light. Without hardship, we wouldn’t *experience* ease. Without the existence of deprivation and loss, we couldn’t grasp the need for gratitude or the virtue of patience. And without separation, we wouldn’t taste the sweetness of reunion. Glory be to the one who gives—even when He takes.”
— Yasmin Mogahed
“Wake up knowing that Allah is greater than any obstacle you may face today.”
— Omar Suleiman
“Sometimes pain teaches what pleasure never could.”
— Yasmin Mogahed
“Narrated Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him): Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “If Allah wants to do good to somebody, He afflicts him with trials.” [Sahih Bukhari: Volume 7, Book 70, Number 548]”
