↪ 「 activity notice !! 」
♚ ooc | as a note, although i’d like to hit all my blogs more often, i’ll probably only stick on alm for this week assuming i even post much at all ?? i’ve got a regional tournament this weekend, so i’m not at home very often this week as a result.
if there’s any other blog i’ll be hitting up, it might be hinata since his muse is coming easier for me than ophelia, percy, or velour but !! apologies about this!
"Happy Valentine's Day Ophelia! I brought you some cute flowers!"
— Taking the flowers, she gave a small, airy, melodious laugh at the mercenary’s own description of her gift. ’Cute’ – a description she often used without shame, and she supposed it wouldn’t be a present from Soleil had it not been deemed easy on the eyes and something one could dote on. Her nose took a sniff of the bloomed petals, taking in their aroma – the best part of really holding any part of the earth’s products – and holding a pleased smile on her face.
❝ A-HA ! The stars foretold of you bestowing upon me a gift today, so in preparation, I have fetched an equal to yours ! Feast your eyes upon THIS, Soleil of the Smiling Sun ! ❞
She unveiled a flower crown she had made, placing atop the songstress’s daughter’s head lightly, a light, brief hum dancing on her lips.
❝ To think we had similar gift ideas in mind – what a harmonious agreement, don’t you agree? Nevertheless, Happy Valentine’s Day to you too, Soleil. I trust you have gone into town and gotten your plenty of this holiday? ❞

“ Yeah, about that… seemed like too much of a pain. ” the brunet admits, yet despite the lack of guilt in his tone, he all too readily shifts his gaze towards the side. Still, that wasn’t the only reason. As luck would have it, today’s evening rations hadn’t satisfied him all that much, which Ophelia seemed to deduce quite well, even without his stomach growling.
At her words, however, an exasperated sigh soon issues out past Fang’s lips. Oh, figures… perhaps there wouldn’t be any leftovers remaining, what with Effie having WAY more of an insatiable appetite than him, but he still figured this to be worth the shot. On the other hand, however, since he came all this way, there was no point in leaving, especially not to continue with the oh, so boring night patrol.
Then again, he wasn’t too terribly keen on sampling a taste of anything Ophelia made either, so he strolls FORWARD until ceasing by the wooden shelves. “ It’s fine, I’ll just snack on some of the ingredients. ” Fang stated and sure enough, proceeds to snatch a loaf of bread from beside a bag of flour before digging his teeth into it rather ravenously.
“ By the way, Ophelia… ” he shortly began while masticating in between bites. “ Not that I’m interested or anything, but you have a recipe for whatever you’re making? ”
— Too much of a pain? Given that reason did not soothe her worries at all. She had hoped that she might have at least been wrong, but alas all he did was confirm that he was being negligent, and he seemed to not have much of any intention to go back to his post.
Was it her duty as a Chosen One to take over his job? To bring him back to it? To report this and see he sees the consequences for his actions? Oh, what would her father do in this moment?
A crease of concern was growing evident upon her countenance, and she stopped midway in her cooking in favor of watching him take a share of food. It was only when he spoke again that he was brought back to reality, and flustered, her hands began to move again in her chopping.
❝ I do not, no... But do not fear ! Ophelia Dusk will make a stew fit for the Gods themselves ! ... Should she remember how much to add of each ingredient. ❞
Her nervous energy had overtaken her, and she found herself making faster, more frequent cuts with rather... uneven results.

“Huh- o-oh! Y-yeah it’s fine.”
The tactician said as he was startled by the voice coming right behind him. Having walked around aimlessly for some minutes now, he is surprised to actually having found someone, he expected to find.
Because this was not a place that he ever knew of! Not wh–
–His thoughts were interrupted, as the girl’s poetic speech suddenly seemed to ring a bell on his head. He heard this kind of talk before! But it couldn’t be, right? This is not his homeland!
…Is it? The familiar feeling wouldn’t go away…
“Oh, s-sure. we should go.” he said as he simply followed. “Ah, I’m just a wandering… writer.” almost biting his tongue before saying ‘tactician’, Robin hoped the girl would not inquire too much into it. He was asked to come to this particular world, but other than them being unknown, he wasn’t told much.
And even so, he still had a ticket back ‘home’- the Dragon Gate. But nonetheless, he still has a task, and one he was willing to see through.
“I’m just trying to find some inspiration for the next chapter.” taking out a pen, he said with a lifted tone. The words of the girl having an impact on his mannerisms, as if he actually had been influenced by something similar before.
— With his consent, Ophelia began to walk. Her feet were not the only thing to be in constant movement, however, for her eyes remained alert and looking about. She gripped at her trademark tome with worry, just in case. Though reconstruction attempts had been made, carrying out all the hopes and making them come to fruition was something that took time.
She could only hope her own uneasiness did not spread to this stranger. She was perfectly content with worrying enough for the both of them.
❝ A writer, you claim? Ah, I understand your long journeys -- a necessary sacrifice for your art -- how dedicated you are. I can relate -- n-not in your fictitious ways, of course, but I have been slaving countless fortnights at my own goals ! ❞
She led him into the tunnel that had been shown to her by a few friends -- one that would take them to the bustling underbelly of the kingdom. She turned back around again and motioned for the tactician to continue pressing forward, the vigor of her gesture perhaps communicating an urge to pick up the pace.
❝ Tell me, is the subject of your curiosity clear to you yet? From one hardworking soul to another, I may be able to assist you. ❞
soleil-is-the-bae:
Soleil heard Opheli sining and decided to join in on the last lines as she walked towards her friend.
— ❝ her hand on her bosom, her head on her knee,
sing willow, willow, willow … ♪ ❞
“That’s a pretty song, Ophelia. I hope my singing wasn’t too terrible.”
— Though Ophelia faltered in her latter two lines, surprised by the sound of another person joining her -- a voice that unfortunately made her cringe at its quality, she still glanced over to meet eyes with its owner. She would not mention her opinion on her singing, because she did have to admire the mercenary’s earnest attempt. Smile through it, Ophelia.
❝ Ah ! Good ear, Soleil. It’s a wondrous song but truly tragic. They say its writer is a poor maid whose pure love was forsaken. She even died singing the full verses supposedly-- a pity for her faith, truly. ❞
— ❝ The poor soul sat sighing by a sycamore tree, sing all a green willow; her hand on her bosom, her head on her knee, sing willow, willow, willow ... ♪ ❞
— ❝ O’ curse this wicked hex placed upon my body-- how it scorches the nose, expelling its force from out its crevices relentlessly. I have not even spoken of how it robs me of my voice’s previous qualities, rea- ❞
She begins to hack and wheeze, effectively cutting herself off. She is leaning forward, doubled-over and grasping her knees, attempting to catch her breath. It was a miracle she was able to even get that far in her complaint.
❝ There it strikes again ! Begone, foul curse ! ❞

revolutionary-princes:
「♞」- Prince Of Nohr
“Ah-” The prince froze, the book he hold snapping shut. His gauntleted hand covered the title, however the author was still visible to the other. Edmund Aslan. A new author on the scene. It was quite rare for the prince to be spotted when he knew he wasn’t followed. The heir of Siegfred put the book back on the shelf, clearing his throat as he smiled towards the other after he had calmed down.
“Ophelia… Uhm, I suppose.. a new book. Yes. That is what I’m here for.” The prince gave a weak smile. Lying was never his strong suit. However hopefully it was convincing enough for the dark mage of the dusk. “I had followed my Uncle’s recommendation on going to the local book store, as everything in his library was shared with me in my youth.” He gave a small laugh.
“And you? What brings you here?”
— Had she caught him off-guard? Somewhat intrigued, she had half expected him to give her a certain answer full of confidence as if every action was dictated by a regal schedule, but alas he was a little more down to earth than she expected. Her curiosity was held more in the book he had been carrying, thinking it was perhaps personal then, and she walked out from around the corner and naturally neared a few steps away from where he had returned the book. Her eyes remained in the approximate area, squinting as if that could discern exactly which title had been the one in his hands just a few moments ago.
However, when the prince asked her of her own reasons for being there, she quickly turned her head towards him, composure clearly lost by her wide eyes and suddenly tense body, and she similarly put on a wavering grin, clearing her throat as she rushed to give an answer.
❝ I-I have been called to conduct a search to this here spot, sensing a strange kind of power overflowing from one of these books' pages... I thought, surely if I could get my hands upon the tome that leaked such glorious power I might learn something-- but you must understand my predicament. None of these are like anything I've read, yet a power within one of them compels me ! ❞
Hopefully that would seem believable even if it involved quite the fancy lie. Her smile was shaky, and she was not strong enough a "Chosen One" like her father to not falter. If her body trembled now, giving even a twitch of truth-- blast!-- she would be done in an instant.
— Though her accidental introduction into the army had had the dark mage coming away with the tome she had been seeking, Ophelia found herself sneaking out into town to peruse the various shops. It was always a book store her legs carried her to, though she did fancy herself numerous other types, always eager to learn of more tales. Although her father did provide quite the amount of inspiration, if she could widen her horizons and be able to come up with some more flair to her tellings and fortunes-- well, wouldn't that be fantastical?
However, any secret escapade proved futile as she noticed a familiar head of blond walking around in the store, and she quickly hid behind one of the shelves. She peeked her head out around the corner of the shelf's side, grasping her fingers around it to give her some more leverage. All in all, she looked perhaps somewhat meeker than usual, but her own surprise to see him there at the same time caused her lips to part.
❝ ...Siegbert? What use have you of the fiction section? ❞
> @revolutionary-princes
✨ HEADCANON // idk if it’s obvious yet or not, but my ophelia is very much so based on her supports with corrin where it becomes apparent that she forces on a persona to match her father. out of idolizing him, she believes she must mimic him, but truthfully, it’s very much so not her.
her flowery vocabulary, as such, does not come as easily to her as it does for odin, and she actually uses a more casual diction most times! it’s a very strenuous process to force herself to speak similarly to her father, and when she’s with someone she knows better, she usually tones it down but upon first impression, she typically goes over and beyond.
ophelia is very insecure over the fact that she cannot be the spitting image of her father in every regard, and she constantly beats herself up over it, thinking herself a failure.
— Surrounded by various tomes, the past few days had been spent by the dark mage in studying all sorts of spells from various sorcerors of varying levels of fame and reliability. She was certain she had understood the specific one she planned to share, but it never hurt to review and review again. When she caught a glimpse of the army's familiar commander, she shut it close so that she might be able to greet her properly.
❝ Glorious day, Corrin ! Are you ready to feast your eyes upon the trick to our future success in battle? ❞
