Trimming Posts for those without XKit

Since editable reblogs is having some difficulty, here’s a quick and dirty stand in for the time being:

1) Hit the option to reblog the post.  2) Copy your rp partner’s previous post using Ctrl+C (or whatever is the equivalent on your machine). 3) Scroll down to the area where you can type your reply, and paste their reply back in using Ctrl+V (or whatever is the equivalent on your machine) 4) Type your reply below the pasted section. 5) Highlight the pasted section and use the tumblr tools to insert a blockquote.

This is a blockquote.

6) Navigate to the top of the post and hover over the original information until you see a red X. Click the X and it will delete all the old stuff, leaving only your new reply, and the copy/pasted old reply.  7) Tag and post. Your rp partner will still be notified of the reblog assuming they have notifications set up.

IF YOU HAVE ICONS Icons are messy and may involve a bit of extra work. To deal with icons:

1) Icon Not Copying Over With Text - you may need to do this individually, either from the reblog post, or from the original post page itself. Right click the icon, then select copy (or whatever is the equivalent on your machine) and then paste it in where it should go.

2) Icon Won’t Sit Under Blockquote - this involves a bit of trickiness, and you’ll need to click the gear icon on the top of the reblog page and change Rich Text to HTML. You should get something like this: <blockquote>random things here</blockquote><img src=“URLHERE”> To get the icon INSIDE a blockquote, simply move the <img src=“URLHERE”> stuff to the left side of the </blockquote> end tag. That’s basic HTML. Tumblr is stupid and doesn’t do this by default so sometimes you have to tweak it. :)

Who was this beautiful woman dressed in black, with hair dark like feathers draped down her back, and a gown of assorted fabrics? Her face was as pale and beautiful as the full moon. Soleil had to meet her. She had just left a bakery not long ago and was carrying some warm bread. Shared food was always a great conversation starter.

“Excuse me, miss!” Soleil called out, waving a free hand. “I couldn’t help but notice you. You’re so lovely. Could I ask you the favor of your name, in exchange for some fresh warm bread?”

“Really? Like lizards? Do you mean that their tails regenerate? I’ve honestly never considered what Auntie Lili tastes like… I mean, when she was a person she didn’t have a tail, and now that she’s a dragon she does have one. I guess it kinda makes sense for it to be regrowable.” She stops herself. “Wait wait wait! No what am I saying? I can’t think about eating Lilith’s tail! That would be like… Like eating my own foot or something! No way!”

“I’m mean, you’re not wrong, I totally agree with you, but just so you know, I’ve also got it going on!” She tries to recover, and does her best impression of one of Azura’s dance moves, not quite shaking her hips in the way her mother does. She looks less like an alluring graceful water dancer, and more like a wiggling piece of seaweed.

“Well I didn’t know you felt that way Rose, but if you like, I can totally start!” She puts on a cute duck-lipped face and leans in to give Rose a kiss on the cheek.

“This doesnt fit me. It should belong to someone pretty.” Soleil have a freshly promoted to made Rose, skirts also a bit short but she doesnt know it yet

"Rose, thank you so much! I love this skirt, such a lovely gift. But just to let you know, you are pretty too~"

Soleil takes off her own skirt and wraps the new one around her waist. She does a twirl to flourish the new skirt and almost loses her balance, just barely catching herself with her arms outstretched to either side.

"Kee-hee! What do you think Rose? Does it suit me?"
