Just back from a week of backpacking in the Wind River Range in Wyoming.  We went where most others don’t go.

Backpacking trip over Kearsarge Pass to Rae Lakes and Sixty Lakes in the high Sierras of California.

From the 1970s on my first backpacking trip with my now-wife.  I was ahead of her but stopped and thought, “Oh no, she’s never backpacked!!  I’d better go help her across that log.”

As you can see, no problem.  She even stopped in the middle, turned sideways and looked downstream, then turned a 180 and looked upstream and said, “This is really pretty.”

Turned out that she’d been a gymnast.  Live and learn.
