1- Have you ever read a book that made you throw it across the room?

2- What is a book that you would never recommend to anyone?

1. Well I’ve thrown several books onto the bed, does that count?? Haven’t yet thrown one across the room lol. But books like that include Sunrise on the Reaping, The Song of Achilles and Court of the Dead

2. Never recommend…. Idk I’ve never really thought about it. Give me time and I’ll prob have a couple

3. Depends on what you’re into. I mainly read queer media, fantasy and crime/mystery. Queer media - def the Alice Oseman books and some of my recent reads like the Honey Witch or the Last Bookstore on Earth. Fantasy is the Percy Jackson series and the Children of Blood and Bone series. And for crime/mystery, I’d recommend EVERY Holly Jackson novel and the Naturals series.

5. Published book wise, my favourite authors are Holly Jackson, Rick Riordan, Alice Oseman, Toni Adeyemi and Andy Darcy Theo. Their stories are so beautiful and so fun to read.

Fic writer wise… I’ve taken inspiration from your angsty works, and from some of my other favourite authors like @jaiofskyandstorm and Wrenshell, who’ve written some of my favourite angsty Ninjago fics everrr. Also my irl moots @ghostedmercury and @thalium9thmuse are super supportive and inspiring <33

Anyone remember this post i did about a possible Hunger Games x Hadestown AU?? Well i have more thoughts now…

Lowkey might do a little gender swap with the main characters, because Katniss is lowkey kinda Orpheus coded to me. Using her voice to unite people and heal the world, growing up poor and without a mother and going through hell for the ones she loves…

Then I can’t decide who i like better as Eurydice. Obviously romantically-wise you’d go with Peeta (which seems fitting), but if you wanna get extra tragic, someone pointed out how Prim is also very Eurydice-coded - doomed by the narrative, a young girl who didn’t deserve her fate and someone who Katniss would let the world burn for. Either works, and i can’t choose which one is betterrrr

Lucy Gray and Snow are very Persephone and Hades-coded to me. A caged songbird who brings life and colour wherever she goes in a toxic relationship with a snake of a man who believes in using control and power as weapons.

Haymitch seems like the Hermes type. Taking lost kids under his wing, offering advice and telling the same tale over and over again. His narration is also #1 yapper, so seems fitting.

The three fates is another thing i can’t decide. Maybe some of the other victors like Finnick and Johanna, or some Capitol figures like Effie and Cinna?? Man this is hard

And of course the chorus of workers would be all the lives lost in the rebellions and the Games.
