I was trying to see how many I could fit on a couch and realised that none of them are sitting on the right.. is there something wrong with that side of the couch? maybe it got akumatised
So I’ve gotten really into the modular building collection over the past couple years, and I’ve always thought the Dupain-Cheng bakery would make a good half-width modular. Back in January I finally got around to designing it on Bricklink Studio, and yesterday I finally received the last pieces I needed to finish the roof!
A closer look at the balcony. I’ve mostly based this build off the new animation due to the nicer colour scheme and higher level of detail, which can be seen with all the plants up here.
Interior of Marinette’s room. You can see an example of something from the old animation here, the pink dresser in the corner. I couldn’t figure out how to make any of the newer stuff in that corner in the right size, so I used the dresser instead. Overall I’d say Marinette’s room + the roof was the hardest section to make. The cantilever bed and the sloped roof were a NIGHTMARE for object collisions but I got there eventually haha.
The living room and kitchen! I’ve really come to appreciate the brightly coloured fridge and cabinets.
The bakery! I used gold bricks to line the benches but you can’t see them from this angle which is a bit of an oversight RIP. The tile pattern in the customer section means there’s no studs to put characters on but honestly I like the pattern enough that I don’t mind.
I’m honestly quite proud of how the stairwell leads up to the second floor. The outside door is in a different place than in canon so that it opens out to the alleyway behind the modular when it’s placed next to another building.
Pound it! Unfortunately they don’t make Ladybug’s hairpiece in navy blue, so I had to make do with a copic marker. I am umming and ahhing about whether to switch it out with Spider-Byte’s hair, which may be the wrong texture but the colour is right and it’ll look cleaner. As for Chat Noir, I’ve got cat ears but am still contemplating the best way to get a hole into the hairpiece (Tragically there aren’t many masculine hairpieces with accessory holes)
In the modular street! Unfortunately, despite my best attempts at making the sides fit flush against other modulars, the windowsills stick out a little. Luckily the building on the left is further back, but the Sanctum Sanctorum can’t quite fit :(

- So with the content in the trailers, clearly either Marinette is getting akumatised or the episode has been specifically constructed to bait us with the trailers.
- Personally, with the combination of the teaser and the tfou trailer I personally think Marinette is in fact, going to be akumatised, although still not completely ruling out the possibility of a fakeout
- The main red flag I’m seeing is the inconsistency as to whether it’s Adrien or Chat Noir seeing the akumatisation - although considering that the room is the same I suppose detransformation isn’t completely out of he question (Although weird - why? Would that happen?)
- Either way, the man question is how much of it, if any is gonna get wiped from the timeline
- I don’t actually think it’s entirely out of the realm of possibility for it to just. Happen. We’ve seen in Season 5 that they do have a system for if Ladybug doesn’t show up, Chat can’t purify the akuma but he can leave it for her later. Additionally, I feel like the name ‘Heartfixer’ implies that her powers could be mental rather than physical - meaning Miraculous Chat Noir could plausibly fix any damage.
- I think this option is interesting, but is killed by both Adrien and Chat Noir being seen while Marinette is being Akumatised - While Lila knows about Marinette, I doubt they’ll have her find out about Adrien permanently because otherwise she’d just use the London Special tactic of stealing the miraculous while they’re sleeping.
- One of the time miraculouses could reverse everything, but personally I’m hoping it’s going to be Miraculous Chat Noir this time
- It would achieve resetting the timeline to the status quo, but much like Chat Blanc would leave one character with knowledge of the events that affects their future actions - except this time its Adrien, and he’ll have a LOT more of the specifics
- Specifically, I can see Marinette letting something small slip about the lie that sets off alarm bells for Adrien
- Additionally, Chat would still have to give Ladybug the akuma to purify - And if she doesn’t remember gettng akumatised, she’s going to be REAL confused about why she didn’t turn up
- I suppose Rena could conjure an illusion, which would solve the Ladybug not showing up problem on Chat’s end, but would also leave an unpurified akuma ✨somewhere✨
- Another little thing i hope to see in this scenario is Marinette reacting to Adrien being Chat Noir - and specifically realising how much more fucked up that makes the lie, only for her mind to get wiped.
- It’ll be interesting to see the Lila - Marinette conversation in this scenario. Lila’s victims have seemed a little more… willing than Hawkmoth’s, so it’s going to be fun seeing how Lila coerces her.
- In my mind I can see Marinette objecting right up until Lila confesses that she knows she’s Ladybug - At which point she thinks she’s fucked anyway and caves
- Regardless of what happens though, I’m really glad to be getting what seems to be an Adrien focus episode without Marinette hijacking it - I feel like they’ve been really heavy on Marinette suppressing Adrien’s agency this season, to the point where it’s starting to get just a little grating
- I feel like they are going somewhere interesting with it, and it’s great to see a more morally complex side of Marinette but it just feels heavy handed at the moment
- I feel like Adrien is sloppily written in the same way female characters are often sloppily written but that’s an essay for another day
- While I think Miraculous Chat Noir would be a fun way to reverse the timeline, I think having Marinette remember would also be interesting
- The guilt. Oh the guilt. Big fan of when Marinette holds herself to a higher standard than everyone else. I feel like while she never faults other people for getting akumatised, she would ABSOLUTELY blame herself
- Also Marinette has been a bit of a puppetmaster this season. While that’s an interesting plotline I think it’ll be cathartic to just. See her go though some shit outside of her realistic control and get comforted for it.
- But also it would be interesting to think about why her getting akumatised wouldn’t mean Lila automatically gets the earrings. Or rather, what MARINETTE thinks that is
- Like after the Emotions have dissipated I can see Marinette making a conspiracy board and yapping to Alya about why??? Chrysalis didn’t ask?? For the earrings?!???
- Would also be fun if she learned something new about Chrysalis, but couldn’t tell Chat Noir because it would reveal who she was.
-In general I do love Ladynoir interactions that are just like ‘Shit happened but I can’t tell you but I want to so fucking bad’
