I recommend this song because I think it's worth it from many perspectives, one of which is Matt's vocals; in fact his voice is pretty versatile and can reach very high notes for metal scream and for the song itself. A great vocal range, all of this merged with the experience of some of the other members and skill, we have a great heavy-metal band! This song is about a metaphorical welcoming to a family and it accepts all interpretations, It could also be a welcoming to death seeing the cover of the album or to a sleepless night taking in mind the title of the album. Whatever will be your interpretation the Lyrics will be down here. (I think the song isn't particularly "vulgar" since there isn't any cursing but it might be depressing 'cause it keeps repeating "You can't win this fight" although I actually think that's good and it's an important thing to say: Life isn't your opponent and neither is Death, so you can't win a fight against them.)

If you want to listen to this song, keep in mind that, even if it's not effectively "Alt Rock", Marilyn's style is still quite alternative so listen with an open mind if you do. The lyrics is not cliché and not that blasphemous either 'cause this Cupid is probably a metaphorical figure and not the Roman deity itself. Some words in the lyrics could sound blasphemous though, for example "Better pray for Hell, and not Hallelujah" But I find that's not a demonstration of hatred against church, more like a statement a skeptical atheist would make.
