Something I do find lovely about the first 4 Murderbot Diaries books (can’t yet speak on all of them) is:

Murderbot chronically finding new scientists/travellers to claim as “clients” (whether paid or not) like one of those sheepless herding dogs that goes around finding sheep (or anything else they can herd like a flock of sheep). Like it clearly has a protect humans instinct and a desperate need for enrichment.

Given its general lack of self awareness and unreliable narrator status, there’s no way in hell Murderbot is aware it’s doing this.

Like you mention that you need sugar to help you think, and they will be like "um, actually, sugar doesn't help you think" and link a study. You open the study, and it's about 500 normal people, some of whom did worse after sugar and some of whom did better.

And youre like "well, it seems to clear mental fog for me, and I tend to eat abnormally" but there isn't any study about people like me and therefore it's not "proven" that it helps you and you are delusional

And when you are like "Well sugar also stops me from fainting so it's not very strange to think that it could help with mental fog, both symptoms of not enough ", they will be " okay maybe in YOUR case, but don't act like it's normal", and you like wasn't. You ere talking about yourself all that time.

What I'm trying to say, is that some evidence-based gurus are so used to feeling superiority by "disproving false claims" they automatically default to disproving your individual experience, even if it contains nuances unreflected in current science and I hate that. And I hate being called abnormal every time I'm not in a median range, because my dude 50% of people in any study are also not in median range

If you care about topic, why not learn it with all nuances included before saying that all people should feel as statistically average person

I love this photography series you’re doing with the holographic foils and stuff! I keep scrolling past them and thinking it’s like some cool digital art somebody’s done. The fact that it’s photos, and of such a high caliber, is truly delightful to me every time I scroll down and see the captions.
