there is a line in aa6 dlc where edgeworth claims that "the prosecutor's office is filled with cowards" to take the case in question, which sounds even weirder when you remember they got simon fucking blackquill, so i assume this is what really happened:
u cld write a whole thesis abt this xkcd & how the only workers personified here r the upper class college degreed tech & management workers & not the third world workers facing unsafe grueling conditions working in mining or even manufacturing..... the wood source described as a "legal fight"
he's also greatly overestimating how much design work actually goes into most products like that
not leaving that in the tags
No, you don't understand. It was 2016. The explainxkcd wiki has a discussion with examples of meetings and debates exactly like Randall describes.
There is specific Californian OSHA Standart that comic alludes to.
Some people said he underestimates time spent.
It is a 2016 comics. He was right.
Apparently a lot of people get dialogue punctuation wrong despite having an otherwise solid grasp of grammar, possibly because they’re used to writing essays rather than prose. I don’t wanna be the asshole who complains about writing errors and then doesn’t offer to help, so here are the basics summarized as simply as I could manage on my phone (“dialogue tag” just refers to phrases like “he said,” “she whispered,” “they asked”):
“For most dialogue, use a comma after the sentence and don’t capitalize the next word after the quotation mark,” she said.
“But what if you’re using a question mark rather than a period?” they asked.
“When using a dialogue tag, you never capitalize the word after the quotation mark unless it’s a proper noun!” she snapped.
“When breaking up a single sentence with a dialogue tag,” she said, “use commas.”
“This is a single sentence,” she said. “Now, this is a second stand-alone sentence, so there’s no comma after ‘she said.’”
“There’s no dialogue tag after this sentence, so end it with a period rather than a comma.” She frowned, suddenly concerned that the entire post was as unasked for as it was sanctimonious.
And!
“If you’re breaking dialogue up with an action tag”—she waves her hands back and forth—”the dashes go outside the quotation marks.”

Thank you
Oh my god thank you. No wonder grammarly keeps complaining about my punctuation when I boot my writing up into word counter
I remember this huge wave of "if you want mpreg just use trans characters" as if the point of mpreg isn't the self-alienation because your body warps and shifts in ways you see as unnatural and the horrible horror of a choice between possible mutilation and killing a fetus that had a potential to be your child.
Yes, this feelings also happen with transman and ciswoman sometimes, but with current media tropes isn't it just easier to write if it's about bodies that aren't treated by the whole world as naturally birth-ready?
Isn't it easier to write a gut-wretching horror story with a happy ending when readers don't know that billions of people went through this and had a happy ending?
I admit, I know that some people don't want the gruesome horror stuff. I took some liberties while assigning a trope just one reason to exist.
But for me personally it's the only reason why I read mpreg. Let's also get trans woman pregnant while we at it. Trans woman characters deserve to feel scared and confused too.
Spreads from a sketchbook.

simon posting
y’all ever think about how Ace Attorney and Daredevil are both about lawyers who can tell when you’re lying? I wanna see Matt and Phoenix have a conversation.
Not to be chinaposting on main, but do you know laoganma?
It's so good. Sends me straight to heaven. Makes me want to live forever.
Works for any soup. Even if your pantry is bare, 2 potatoes, random sausage, a spoon of lil ol grandma sause, and you will break the infinity.
I swear one day I will make borscht and add laoganma to it.
Verified winner, absolute goat of grandma.
