(( slowly trying to make a comeback as i settle into my life again. but for now more stuff from my drafts about angel wings:

they’re not natural. not in the sense of having them from birth, of course. they are holograms, projections and yet they give an angel one of their greatest gifts besides their creation; flight. how they do what they do despite being see-through can be left up to interpretation (it’s heavenly magic after all. and you’d be surprised how tech-savvy they are!) but it’s harder to find out when in the process an angel is given them.

you see, angels, even if they have consciousness don’t start out with it. it’s a mixed bag on whether they’ll turn out humanoid or...not. in fact, most angels don’t even spawn with a fully tangible physical form right off the bat. it’s something that takes a lot of time to form to an angel’s liking.

there have been cases of angels not having wings or halos, but it’s not a problem that can be fixed. better to cut up the ones who failed to get them--the pain that comes with trying to pry an angel’s flesh out in order to make room for wings is agonizing.
