CINDER LIVES. It's been twenty-four years since the Incident, the most disastrous day in Halcyon Island's history. Superhero Cinder spontaneously combusted in the middle of a crowd, causing mass outrage and unmatched tragedy. All other superpowered people have since paid the price for his misdeed: banned from using their powers and feared by the general public, those with special abilities were forced underground. In the aftermath of the Incident, the superpowered people of Halcyon Island splintered into three factions. The Glass, the Current and the Grid all have their own beliefs about what happened on that fateful day. For years, they have had their strongholds across the island, and now are forever entangled in a neck-and-neck race to gain more power, money and influence in Halcyon's criminal underworld. But if the rumours are true, and Cinder somehow survived, the factions might have bigger fish to fry...
