i’ve had this idea for a while: aurora’s curse doesn’t break, because philip didn’t come (insert reason). so aurora stays asleep. maybe 200 years later (just a guess) belle somehow ends up in the cursed castle and is tasked with taking care of teh Enchanted Rose (as in, Briar Rose/aurora? get it? :D) and she reads to the sleeping princess every day. i like to imagine the sleep is something like a coma: she can hear what happens (but i want to remove the concept of time, that’s torture), and she slowly falls for the beautiful voice who not only reads, but makes really weird analyses and commentary about her reading, revealing a great deal about her. it’s still a little vague :3

Every day Belle would climb to the top of the tallest tower and read to her. 

And every night, Aurora would dream of her, the beast woman that loved books more than reality.

Until one day, the last day of the curse, Belle had completely lost hope and told the sleeping woman that she loved her and this would be the last time that she would come to read to her for when the last petal fell she would transform forever into a beast, losing the last of her humanity.

With a tear, Belle kissed the sleeping princess goodbye.

And with that kiss Aurora woke to a burst of light and magic and smiled at the beautiful woman who woke her.

The Disney Sleeping Warrior Saga | Part 1

While on her way to collect berries, with the help of some birds, Aurora finds a young woman injured and unconscious in the forest. After carrying the young woman almost halfway, Aurora sets her down from exhaustion. She picks some berries and catches her breath. Luckily, the young woman soon wakes up, and Aurora offers her berries and asks who she is.
