Hello, everyone. I am still alive, doing okay, and I have kind of recreated my tumblr presence on another blog. I have not shared it with any people I know irl, so I think I will probably be okay there? It started when I was still using this blog as like a special interest for a video game I like, and it’s become a main blog, but it’s still very specialized toward that, so sorry if that is annoying.

I started using a different name on it to ensure that my family does not read it/find me via still being called SP, so if you decide to follow, sorry for the adjustment period. Sorry that this has taken so long to share with all of you, but I honestly did not know if I would be comfortable on tumblr again or in what capacity I would be here until recently (that being said, taking long hiatuses without notice is just something that will probably happen).

Also the content is different because obviously, I am not following all the same blogs, etc. and most of it is honestly me complaining about stuff. Also, unfortunately, it is not nearly as pretty as this one, and honestly, I don’t know if I have the energy to change that. :( Anyway, I miss a lot of you, and you’ve been very transformative to my life in a positive way, so thank you so much for everything. Please message me, if you want to know my know blog.

Hi, everyone. I know I have been on barely at all lately. I've been busy and exhausted, but I also have to admit that I feel uncomfortable using this blog due to various things that happened outside the Internet. I may create a new personal blog sometime or start using this one, but I feel like it's time to say that I'm seriously considering making a new blog where I feel less like something I say will effect my home situation or relationships. Now that I'm going to college soon, it seems a good time to start a new blog and give myself some distance from lingering outside-the-Internet issues regarding this one. I've really met some amazing people through this blog over the years which is why it will be bittersweet if I decide to stop using it. If I do make a new blog, I will at least tell the people I've come to know here. I may feel differently about using this blog once I have separation from my family, but I still don't know.

I have two friends who taught themselves to read by playing video games.

What matters is that kids read and that they think reading is fun. It doesn’t matter as much what they’re reading. If they read regularly and enjoy reading, they’ll eventually read “worthwhile literature,” too, and they’ll have good enough reading skills to do it.
