Hello loves, it's Mary!

age: 16-18 (throughout the rp) species: mermaid pronouns: she/her, also i'm bisexual! hobbies: collecting seashells/pearls to make jewelry or other trinkets, singing, sitting on the ocean rocks in the sunshine, swimming & exploring the ocean, meeting new people, learning gossip from various ocean creatures relationship status: single (as of right now), but my family is one of the more well-known mermaid families, and right now they really want me to marry, which is honestly a bit annoying. i like being in relationships, but they want me to pick someone to settle down with permanently, which seems like a big decision and honesty i don't want to deal with it

people I don’t really know: @captain-sirius-black, Sirius, most of the Blacks seem pretty scary but he doesn’t seem that bad @prongsnpotts, James, I don’t know much about him but he seems nice @shipwrecked-shiprat, Peter, he seems kind, and I think I saw Lily talking to him once @b-arrrrr-ty, Barty, I don’t really know anything about him @evan-a-rosier, Evan, don’t know him either but he’s Pandora’s brother and he scares me a little @roses-and-seashells, Pandora, Evan’s sister, I can't tell whether to be scared about her or not @imliterallysogay, Bellatrix, another Black, she scares me @n-arrrr-cissa, Narcissa, Bellatrix’s sister, also pretty scary tbh @the-real-reg-black, Regulus, Sirius’ brother, seems pretty withdrawn

After an hour of convincing Mary to travel to the isle of potter with her, Lily finally set off on their journey. She carefully weaved the two of them through the coral reefs, seaweed beds and random shipwrecks that they need to explore. After an hour or so, they finally reached the shore of the isle; an expansion of green trees, thick shrubbery, and wildflowers meticulously dotted around the island panned out in front of their eyes.

“look, Mary!” She whisper-shouted, pointing to a distant figure. The boy was certainly tall, looked around their age and he was with— is that Peter?!

“I think that’s Prince James, I know his friend, Peter,” she began to explain, getting closer to the shore for a better look. “I led him all the way to this isle— it was dumb of me, I know, but he seems nice!”

Mary looked around, wide-eyed. While she adored exploring the ocean and seeing new things, Lily was definitely the more adventurous of the two mermaids, and she certainly had never been all the way to the Isle of Potter before. It's beautiful, she thought, before following Lily's gaze to the figure in the distance.

She smiled a little at her friend's excitement. We both knew it was usually not a good idea to get terribly close to the humans we found sailing --- they often turned out to be pirates, and rather dangerous --- but that clearly hadn't stopped Lily.

"Ooh, how exciting!!" Mary responded, because as impulsive as the decision to befriend a human had been, she trusted her friend. "Wow, Lily, are you friends with humans now? Can I meet them?"

“I guess you could call us friends?” She said with a questioning tone. “Do you see the short one? With the blonde hair? That’s pete— I led him all the way from the middle of the ocean to here!” She said with a proud grin.

She had a mischievous grin on her face as she picked up a shell. “When I throw this, duck under the water, okay? I want to scare them!” She giggled, a playful glint in her eyes.She let Mary swim away then threw the shell in their direction, the shell landing in front of the two boys.

"Wow, hey James, look at this!" He said in awe, picking the shell up to show it to James

James turned to look at his friend, seeing the sparkly object in his hand. “Oh? What’s that?”

"I think it's a shell, the sea just... I don't know, spit it out or something. Would you like it?"

He offered the shell to his friend.

James gasps when he grabes the shell, admiring it’s beautiful exterior.

Giving it back he answers he friend. “No. You found it, it’s only fair” Right before another one hits his stomach.

James groans as the flat material hitting his had enough to leave a bruise. He looks down to see a smaller, white shell at his feat. He picks it up and shows it to Peter, still rubbing his stomach. “I’ll keep this one”

"Oh! Ok then."

Peter winced as the stone hit James.

"Yeah... I think that one was probably meant for you. You alright?"

James puts up a thumb “great” he says, his voice a little horce. He clears his throat and looks to where the sea shells came from.

Lily was having way too much fun with this! Though she didn’t actually want to cause any harm so instead, she found some coins that were laying along the ocean bed, and threw a couple of those instead.

Gold flyed around them clatering onto the deck, and James looked around confused.

Mary swam back towards Lily, picking up a few gleaming shells to bring back with her. She giggled as she threw a few coins of her own. Despite herself, she was fascinated. Lily always seemed to have such exciting ideas for adventures. "Are we going to talk to them?" she whispered to Lily.

”I certainly want to get their attention,” Lily said in a hushed tone, a mischievous grin uplifting her lips. She swam around, trying to find something else— something that would really get their attention. When nothing appeared, she had a different idea; if she could make a loud sound then that would definitely grasp their attention.

she swam back, and with her tail, she gave the water a mighty thump; sending the water rippling through the ocean.

Peter, who had previously been transfixed by the gold, jumped at the sudden noise, dropping the shiny penny he had been inspecting.

"Uh, James, did you hear that?"

James snaped his head to the noise. “Yes, pete. I did.” He answered before feeling the boat lurch slightly under his feet.

“What was that?” He asked, more to himself than anyone else, while grabbing on to the side of the boat.

Lily watched as the confusion filled the boys’ faces— weird looks, unnerved voices, and unsteady feet proved that they were scared. She whacked tge sea once again, sending a wave rippling through the water.

she swam out into the eyeshot of the boys, desperately wanting to be seen. She bobbed out of the water, sending the boat a wave.

"Ah!" Peter grabbed onto the railings to steady himself, knuckles white as he clung on for dear life as the boat swayed again.

James, still clutching the side of the boat for dear life, had his eyes glued to the water, and then to a pair of shining green eyes.

He gasped breathlessly. That was the loveliest creature he’s ever laid his eyes on. Much more gorgeous than the creatures presented in the books he was taught from as a kid.

Lost in the sight of beauty, he completely forgot about everything around him.

"Uh, James? You alright?" Peter waved his hand in front of his friend's face, attempting to wake him from his trancelike state.

The movement in front if his eyes broke him from his trance and he turned to look at his friend, startled.

“Huh? What?” He blinked before his brain cought up to him.

“oh yea, yea fine. … OH!” He screamed and pointed directly and the godly creature swimming some distance away.

"Looks like she's got a friend," Peter remarked, squinting at the two creatures in the water and raising his arm in a friendly greeting. "Ho there!"

Mary popped up out of the water too, grinning at Lily, endeared by her excitement, before looking at the boat and returning Peter's wave. "Hello!" she called out.

After an hour of convincing Mary to travel to the isle of potter with her, Lily finally set off on their journey. She carefully weaved the two of them through the coral reefs, seaweed beds and random shipwrecks that they need to explore. After an hour or so, they finally reached the shore of the isle; an expansion of green trees, thick shrubbery, and wildflowers meticulously dotted around the island panned out in front of their eyes.

“I think that’s Prince James, I know his friend, Peter,” she began to explain, getting closer to the shore for a better look. “I led him all the way to this isle— it was dumb of me, I know, but he seems nice!”

“You see…” lily started, lazily playing with a shell to avoid looking at Mary. “I helped a sailor find directions to the isle of potter and there’s so much treasure!” She said with a bright smile. “There’s pearls, coins— I even found some golden jewellery!”

"A sailor?" Mary said, looking at Lily quizzically. "Who? And why didn't I get to meet him, you know i love meeting new people!!"

"Lily," she continued, leaning forward, "the next time you go on an adventure with someone you simply must invite me along!! Oh, that sounds so exciting, we should go see what we can find!"
