Sure, being forced to attend a Christian church camp for your entire summer holidays is bad, but a zombie apocalypse starting whilst you’re at that shitty camp? I can’t decide if that’s better or worse.
Leo Beck is a regular teenage boy with overly religious parents who think the best thing for him is to reconnect with God. MacKillop’s Village offers just that, and since he was 14, Leo has had to spend every summer reconnecting with God. Everything was going just as well as you expect a Christian summer camp to go, right up until the campers started eating each other.
Leo finds himself on the run from his flesh eating peers, accompanied by Camp Counsellor Rowena, a lanky annoyance called Michael, and two slightly off-putting twins.
Trying desperately to find their way home, the group stumbles upon something sinister happening within their parent’s church group.
Tag along to create new friendships, maybe even something more, and discover just what exactly caused this zombie apocalypse, and why these Christians seem so invested in the outcome.
((inspired by the undead/unfed books by Kirsty McKay that I read when I was 14))
