My dear friends, During the last war, my home was completely destroyed. In just a moment, I lost everything , my shelter, my memories, my safety, my whole world.
Now, I’m trying to return to North Gaza, to the place that once held my life, just to build a small tent and a simple bathroom… something that can give me a bit of dignity, a place to breathe again.

Two years ago, this war began. I was barely fourteen then.
Today I am almost sixteen, after living through two years that felt like a hundred filled with pain, displacement, and loss.
Two years of war that devoured our dreams and childhood, stealing our sense of safety, our education, our very lives.
I used to be a top student, full of big hopes for my future.
But I’ve lost two whole years of learning, two years of my life, my future, my self.
This cursed war destroyed everything around us.
It changed our faces and left our bodies frail from hunger and deprivation.
It denied us food and water, medicine and rest, everything that makes life bearable.

I went to the aid south of Rafah, where the Americans hold the aid, and I went to get food, but they opened fire on us and my leg was shot, and now I am disabled. 💔 They put iron in my leg so it wouldn't be amputated. If I don't take the necessary treatment that the doctors prescribed for me, my life will deteriorate and they will amputate my leg. Israel wants Gaza City empty, silent, depopulated, and erased. But as long as even one family refuses to leave, the city will live on.”]
The United States and Israel are attempting a new tactic. From what I understand, the US is presenting an arrangement where Gaza would be ruled by a leader that is not elected by the Palestinian people but instead decided by the US itself, and will enforce this governance with police/security provided by "regional and international forces."
Earlier this year, the US and Israel collaborated to create death trap GHF sites. These were promoted as aid to relieve famine, even though the US and Israel were the ones creating the famine. These GHF sites were staffed by private mercenaries and surrounded by Israeli military, resulting in daily massacres of starving Palestinians.
I am not the most informed person on this topic, but I anticipate this "20-point plan" is similar--continuing the genocide while offering some sort of international propaganda that things are meaningfully different.
Netanyahu says if this plan (Palestinians giving up Palestine and ceasing any defense of their land and right to govern themselves) is not followed “Israel will finish the job by itself”.
This is the same situation as the entire genocide. Israel and the United States want full control over Palestine, and they are presenting an option where Palestinians surrender their land and autonomy as the only alternative to continuing genocide.
There is no real difference except, now that the UN is finally declaring Israel's actions as genocide, this plan presents a way for the global north to pretend genocide is being addressed and to return to having no obligation to cease all ties with Israel.
Back in February of this year, while addressing a news conference at the White House with Netanyahu, Trump said that the US would “take over” and “own” Gaza.
It seems that is still their plan.
My friend Ahmed (@ahmedaldaniii) is a disabled teenager in Gaza. He was recently displaced from Gaza City to Deir al-Balah.
The cost of fuel was too high for this, and they had to travel a two-day journey on foot carrying all of their belongings. Their tent was already in poor condition because of repeated nearby bombings, but this latest displacement also required them to abandon part of their tent.
His family's damaged and incomplete tent is now open to insects and small mammals which makes it very hard to avoid illness. The price of food and water are also very high.
